Hey everyone! My name is Evan, and myself and my girlfriend Nicole are embarking on our third trip to WDW this summer. We had stayed at the Mariott World Center the past two years but this year we decided to stay on Disney property.

We booked our dates August 10th - August 18th at the Dolphin hotel. We requested a King Size bed, and so far have the "run of the house" rate. We wanted to know about the actual rooms itself. I have seen some photos on this site where some of the rooms look outdated, and then other photos of the "newly redecorated" rooms.

I want to know if all the rooms at the Dolphin have been redecorated. As well, I prefer to know if its possible to get a newly redecorated room with a king size bed that when you look out the window faces the SWAN. Basically staying in the main part of the Dolphin, not any of the four smaller buildings attatched to it.

If someone could answer all these questions that would be greatly appreciated. We are both very excited and can't wait to get there again to experience the magic!

Welcome to the DIS!! :cool1:

You are going to love the Dolphin! DH and I have stayed there many times, and are looking forward to many more times! :teeth:

I really can't answer your questions about the rooms - whether or not you can face the Swan and be in a refurbished room and have a king bed....but we've stayed in the balcony rooms that face Epcot - and it's wonderful! You can watch the fireworks at night!

You'll love the location of the Dolphin - walking distance to Epcot and MGM. We love to stroll around the Boardwalk in the evenings too!

Hope you have a magical time!

When we stayed at the Dolphin last year in July they were almost done with renovating the rooms, or at least that's what we were told. Our floor was renovated. The room we had wasn't large but was very comfortable and OMG those Heavenly Beds! They truly ARE heavenly. The staff was great, the pool is very nice and there are PLENTY of dining options between there, the Swan, and of course the Yacht and Beach Club and the Boardwalk are a short walk or ferry ride away. Have fun!

: WE STAYED AT THE DOLPHIN IN MAY WITH A REFUBISHED ROOM IN WEST WING 170 AND IT HAD A GREAT VIEW PLUS THE ILLUMINATIONS VIEW!!! wE WILL DEF. REQUEST THIS ROOM IN THE FUTURE!!! :earsgirl:

Hey Rhonda! Thanks for responding so quickly! :)

I called the Dolphin earlier this evening and the lady told me ALL the rooms have been redecorated which makes me feel alot better!

Let me ask you about your balcony room that faced Epcot. Was your balcony room in the main building of the Dolphin? or was it in one of those four smaller buildings attatched to the main one?

Let me know! :wizard:

I don't think I've ever stayed in the "main" building. Most of the rooms are in the wings. Does the "main" part of the building even have rooms? Maybe someone else can answer that....
