Questions about the TTC

Forgive my ignorance but I am very confused about the TTC.

From what I understand the TTC is the Ticket and Transportation Center and it is located in front of the MK.

You can access the monorail to the MK and to the monorail resorts from the TTC.

The parking lot for the MK is in front of the TTC. I would park in the lot and take a tram to the TTC.

Is this correct?

I will be staying offsite for our visit near Universal next month. We will be attending MVMCP on 12/20. How can I find driving directions to TTC?

How much is it to park at the TTC?

The TTC is located directly across Seven Seas Lagoon from the MK. It is adjacent to the MK parking area and next to the Polynesian resort. If you park in the MK lots ($11 per day), the TTC is your hub for transportation to all of the Disney theme parks.

The MK is accessible via the resort monorail, which runs in a clockwise loop around the lagoon and stops (going from the TTC) at the Poly, GF, MK, CR and back. There also is an express monorail that runs counter clockwise and stops only at the TTC and MK. You also can take a ferry across the lagoon from the TTC.

Other transportation options available from the TTC are a separate monorail line to Epcot and buses to AK and the Studios.

Transportation to other Disney resorts is via bus from a depot that is on the MK side of the lagoon. There also are boats to the Poly, GF and WL/FW available at the MK.

You have it correct. The TTC used to be the gateway to the Magic Kingdom so to speak. You would purchase tickets for MK there and then take the ferry or monorail to the entrance to the MK. Buses used to drop off there as well. It is now just a middle stopping point for off site guests on their way to MK or Epcot (via monorail).

You can still catch a bus to Disney Studios and AK, as well as off site shuttles.

There is also a store there that sells items from the Magic Kingdom, so it's good incase there is something you forgot to purchase.
