On the itineraries that have a stop at port Canaveral, how do the Disney world excursions work? do they give you just one park tickets? can you get park hoppers? also do the buses run continuously throughout the day or are they just run at certain times to and from the parks?

You get a park hopper ticket and 3 Fast Passes. Good on any 3 rides in any park. Once you've used those, you can pull more FPs.

Once the buses start running, they basically run all day. I believe the last bus is an hour after the latest park closing (from that park).

Thank you!

Do the park hopper and FPs get coded on thr KTTW card or as separate media?

Also as a related question, since we'll also have our own annual passes, can we also use the MyDisneyExperience web site to associate three fast passes from one park with our APs and then use the AP to enter that park while using the other FPs elsewhere?

Not sure, but I think they're an actual park hopper ticket. Maybe with the fast passes on it. Hopefully someone else can chime in here.

I don't think you can do your APs along with your park hopper. You can only do one or the other. And, yes, DCL does specify that those people who use their own tickets to enter the parks, can't save the park hopper for another person or another time. It has a date on it that it must be used (the day you are in port).

I found a thread from last year that talks about the ticket & fast passes. The fast passes that are linked to the park hopper ticket you get are FP+ and can be used for any 3 rides in any of the parks.

Actually, I get the using one or the other at a time. I'm thinking of using them sequentially, not concurrently. I don't see why I could not use my AP to pre-book 3 FPs 30 days in advance for use at one park (say the Magic Kingdom), use the AP to enter that park and use the corresponding FPs (using my AP Magic Band to go through the FP queue within my FP window). Now I leave that park and go to one of the other parks (say Epcot) and use the cruise issued park hopper with the associated FP+ that can be used for any 3 rides in any of the parks as my admission media. As long as I enter a park using the admission media associated with whatever FPs I want to use in that park, how does Disney prevent this. I've paid for the AP with its associated access to 3 FPs per day and I've paid DCL (indirectly as part of my cruise fare) for the one-day hopper and its associated FP+s that can be used for any 3 rides in any of the parks.

@Ralph&Pam based on info from the TPAS Forum, I believe that is possible. Anybody who has ticket media can make FP+ in advance. I believe the DCL tickets are NOT provided in advance, not 30 or 60 days for FP+ scheduling, therefore the 3 anytime FPs are given because most cruisers would not have ticket media to do advance FP+. Bonus for those who have APs or another trip with tickets.

Enjoy your cruise!

That's sound logic, be interested to hear if anyone has tried it.

But the fast passes you get with the park hopper are FP+. But better, as you can use them at any park, any ride, any time.

WDW only has FP+ whether they are booked 60 days in advance or same day, they are all the same thing (the CA parks still use paper FPs which are tickets pulled onsite at the park). When booking in advance with valid ticket media, correct that one can only book all 3 FP+ for a single park. The FPs provided with the DCL tickets are anytime FPs, and yes they can be used one in each of three different parks, or all three on the same attraction. So a little more flexibility.

Yes, absolutely true. A great feature to be sure, and I will certainly use them accordingly.

But there are still only three of these being provided. Having an additional 3 FPs pre-booked on my AP would mean I'd have a total of 6 for the day. The three pre-booked FPs associated with an AP are limited to a single park, have a specific time window for use, and cannot overlap in those time windows, so quite restricting in that regard. For some parks, these FPs are further restricted because of "tiering" limiting you to only one FP from a list of the most popular attractions in that park. For example, at Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Mania and the Great Movie Ride are both top tier attractions. You can only do one of these with a regular FP. We usually do Toy Story Mania and use the standby queue for the Great Movie Ride. But we frequently book three FPs over a 3 to 3-1/2 hour period to hit the most popular rides at a particular park, filling in the time between with less crowded attractions. This works particularly well at the MK. By then, I'm usually ready to leave that park anyway. Normally, we would return to our DVC resort for the afternoon, then go to a different park for dinner and whatever else we might want to do. Having used our three pre-arranged FPs, we then have to wait in the stand-by queue for any rides we want to enjoy. You can use a kiosk to get an addotional regular FP at this point but FPs for most popular attractions (Soarin' in Epcot, Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios) are likely gone for the day. I can see the 3 FP+s allowing us much more flexibility at this point, since we can use the FP entrance.

So we still don't have an answer really. The scenario I'm envisioning is - we arrive at the first park first thing AM with the 3 fast passes in hand, so we then head straight to an attraction that we want to do and grab a fast pass from the machine for later, then go do something else. So is the fact that we enter the park with 3 FPs in tow going to stop us from getting a specific attraction fast pass?

Yes, and you'd be getting something that not everyone can. There's always ways around any system that's put in place. Certainly you can do it.

You can't pull a 4th FP (with the DCL park hopper ticket) until you've used all 3 of the the FPs linked to the park hopper.

ALL 3? So once you use one, you can't get another?
Not until you've used all 3, from what I've been told. But, once you pull the 4th, you can get the 5th as soon as your next window opens, and the 6th as soon as the window on the 5th one opens (I believe you can hold up to 3 FP at any given time).

At least that's how I understand it.

I get the only holding 3 at a time thing, so that's why I was saying once we use the first one from the ship we ought to be able to pull another. If we have to wait until all 3 are used, that's really not much of an advantage. And of course we all agree DCL people should have an advantage. :teeth:

I just reserved FP+ for our WDW stay after our cruise. I was told, that all three of those had to be used before I could pull another. I think the system recognizes FP+ that's issued before the fact as being different than FPs issued on the day.

FPs pulled on the actual day of use, you can have 3 at any given time (use one, pull another).

Then they should make another category like FPDCL or something, that would recognize the difference. It's really not that much of an advantage if that's the case. And we're only there ONE day.

I guess they figure you're going to use the DCL FP first, and fast. Then you can pull additional ones.
