Questions about Sun Country and seats

Hello!

We are going to WDW at the end of January (in 21 days!). We are flying out of Minneapolis on Sun Country at 8:30 a.m. and getting to MCO around noon. We have a 9 year old boy (my son) and an 8 year old girl (friend's niece) with my friend and I. We did not select our seats when we made our reservation, so will we be able to select our seats for no charge when we can do the online check in? Should I be worried about us being able to sit together? As long as I am with my son, and she is with her niece, we should be okay.

Secondly, my son still needs naps (he HATES  them and fights it to the end, but does better when he has them). :rolleyes2 My friends niece doesn't seem to need naps. So, fortunately we only live about 30 minutes from the airport, but would still need to leave our house around 5:30 a.m. I know my odds of getting him to rest on the plane are slim to none and slim just left town, and once we get to POFQ, the odds are even less! My hope would be to try to go into MK that afternoon and evening, as there is EMH that night at MK.

Any thoughts or suggestions?!

Thanks for your help!

According to seatguru.com, you can select seats for free at check-in. I could not find this info on Sun Country's website; it is horrible!

I can't help you with the nap question; I have never known a 9 year old who naps every day. Maybe you should speak with his physician; perhaps he has a sleep problem which can be helped.
