Another "Disney veteran" crossing over to the light. Was waiting for kids to be 40"+. Doing 3 nights onsite Sept 5th-7th (Wed-Fri) at CB, then moving to Disney for 2 nights for their Halloween Party the 8th and 9th.

We are doing 2 days of park-to-park tickets at Universal on Thurs 6th and Fri 7th. The Rock the Universe will start Fri evening so my plan is to treat it like HHN and move over to IOA that afternoon if we're at US that day. We are RD peeps so we'll take advantage of EE both days and prob take a pool/rest hotel break around lunch.

Meeting my dad with my two boys (DS6 and DS8) for this trip, no wife, so it will be 4 of us.

So from my searches of past posts, here's my questions:

1) It appears we shouldn't need EP due to when we are going and plan to utilize EE, does that seem correct? Other than maybe the stunt show, some characters, and maybe the Superhero Character Dinner (if my kids talk me into it enough), we will prob only do rides. Since its just a "guys" trip we're trying to keep costs low.

2) If RtU is on Friday night, should we do US on Thurs and then do IOA on Friday, or would US be lighter on Fri since it closes earlier ala Magic Kingdom on party days?

3) My plan is to do EE rides and Olivanders, with basic exploring of the HP lands during EE (we're not diehard Potter's), and then go straight to Kong when park officially opens one morning, and Minions or Mummy (depending whats not offered during EE) the other morning, and the hopefully should be able to just go with the flow from there with the app.

4) More efficient...meeting superheroes/villains during the day in the park, or villains during the day in the park and then heros at Character Dinner at night?

5) Subjective question. Ranking of places to eat for dinner or lunch between these 3... Cowfish, Mythos, Toothsome? Was thinking Toothsome at least for dessert the first day we fly in.

Thanks for any advice

1. yep.
2. no idea, sorry.
3. yep. we went with the flow and it was awesome
4. again, no idea, sorry. that wasn't our jam.
5. I'm a Toothsome girl, all the way but you can't go wrong with any of them.

3. Dead on right :)

5. I loved Toothsome, hit it late afternoon with no wait. Did Mythos with a reservation for lunch. Both were good, Toothsome was better. We got just entrees and planned to hit for dessert later in the trip but failed to do so :(

Toothsome is my first choice, then Mythos, then Cowfish. Mythos is very cool inside and convenient to stop at for lunch, which is what we did. Not overly busy during the day, in my experience. We like Cowfish too but of the three, its my least favorite.

Kong at IOA and minions at the studios will have line waits so hit them early

From past experiences, just before Labor Day and days after it have been low crowds days for me

EE for non potter rides will work great
