Hi, I was wondering how the SeaWorld AP's work. When you buy online do you get a voucher like you do for Disney & turn it in for a pass? Also, when does the clock start ticking on the pass? Is it the minute it's purchased, when you use it the first time or when you get your actual pass? According to Mousesavers they are giving 3 addional months on the pass but I don't see anything on the SeaWorld website about it. Does anyone know? TIA for all your answers!!:flower3:

Super Grover Pass at Seasame Street is much cheaper and most same benefits. It runs til end of 2011.

Here is a list of the discounts we got with a Super Grover at SeaWorld Orlando. I had paper tickets mailed to me ($8 charge) total, NOT per ticket. Straight through turnstile at SeaWorld as first ever use, no activation at Sesame Place needed.

Free pref parking CLOSE to gate.

reserved seating for shows (norammly best seats in house, which was VERY important on Dec 31st when some folks were lining up 60 min before show to secure seat. I showed up 15 min prior and got best seat in house)

10% off all food

$4 off a wheelchair rent (normally $14)

$1 off dolphin feeding and sea lion feeding

Free ride up sky tower

Free in Aquatica (free park) and all Busch Gardens parks inclduing Tampa (free aprk) and 10% food, etc.

Hi, Just curious we have annual passes with the EZ pay plan that expire at the end of March. 4 tickets all together, do I understand right, they just roll over and you can stop t he payments anytime? We are going in March and again at the end of Dec 2011. Also, is their any perks that goes along with annual passports? I know when I log in, there is the Discovery cove discounts and so on, but when I got to Busch Gardens website my annual passport works there and the Aquatica site as well. Do we get any type of discount for there as well?
TIA

They do roll over and the price stays the same. You can cancel pass at any time.
Do you have the 1 year, the gold(2 park 2 year), or the platinum(all parks except DC included basically)? With 1 and 2 year you get 10% off food and items bought in most shops in the parks, free geneeral parking, discounts on tickets for friends( often can find cheaper tickets not using it though) , discounts on other parks tickets, discounts on special tours etc.. Platinum has a few more perks.

I'm not sure what the Super Grover pass is but we are thinking about getting the 1 year AP. I didn't see the answer above to the question of when the AP starts. Is is at time of purchase or first use? Thanks.

From my experience with annual passes at SW, BGT, BGW, and WC, annual passes start the day of first use even if they're purchased ahead online.

It used to be that way when we got ours, but I think I read on here a while back that now they start the day you buy them.

^You're correct. I just confirmed this with the park, and annual passes are active from the date of purchase. The pass can be printed at home, and it is valid immediately for parking and admission, etc. The paper pass can be exchanged at the park for a more sturdy card.

I was also told that a Platinum pass must be first activated at the "home park" before it can be used for benefits elsewhere. For example, you couldn't buy a Platinum Pass at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (where it is considerably less expensive than the same pass in Florida) expecting to use it in Florida without first activating it in Williamsburg. I'm assuming this is also true for the Super Grover Pass (which is simply Sesame Place's cute name for the Platinum Pass offered at the other parks). Did the person who originally suggested the Super Grover Pass have a different experience than what I was told by the representative?

That is not true. It costs $8 to have the Super Grover to be fed exed to your home. I used 5 of them for family at SeaWorld Orlando FIRST and second and third and fourth. Never been used at Sesame Place, actually. Turnstile rady pass. Free admission to all 9 parks, free parking, free preferred seating at shows, 10% off food at SW, free sky rides at SW, $4 off wheelchair rent, $1 off dolphiin feeding, etc. Grovers are good for a SEASON though. For SW ttand Aquatica hat means they die 12/31/11.

Thank you Andrews_dad. I just found your posts in the SW San Antonia thread where you and others confirmed this. The information is very helpful, and I appreciate all the input.

Just curious to know if it has been confirmed in Orlando, though?

Yeap. A Super Grover is a Plat Pass. Runs until 12/31/11. Currrently $142 per year. It costs $8 extra to have the turnstile-ready pass shipped to you ($8 total, not per ticket so $8 if buying one or $8 total if buying for a family of 6). When you call you must request the paper passes to be Fed Exed to you. I did so in December. Rec'd the paper tickets for a party of 4. First, second, third, and fourth use were at SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica. NEVER activated at Sesame Place. Right at turnstile. My first all adults had to show ID and do a finger scan. Every use after was only a finger scan. Free preferred parking CLOSE to gate. Free entry. 10% off all food and merch. Free sky ride at SW. $4 off wheelchair rental. $1 off sea lion, dolphin, and sting ray feedings. Etc. reserved seating for shows.

I purchased two year annual passes last year. When I received them in the mail I noticed they were dated the day of order (not what I expected). I called and said that I purchased a month ahead of time - I didn't expect the clock would start to tick right away. It does.....BUT not an issue. They instructed me to stop by the passport service window before I entered the park and they would give me new ones with that date.

I did - all set.

So, a bit of a pain but change could be fixed.
