Questions about Sea World Package

We will be arriving in Orlando on a Friday, driving in from Valdosta, GA that morning. We will probably leave Valdosta about 6:30 AM.

The new Springhill Suites has a Sea World Package that includes 3 Adults and 2 children and your room for $279.00. They are length of stay tickets. We would stay there one night. The next day, we plan to go to the store, get some groceries for our Disney trip and check in at Port Orleans. We have a 6 PM ADR that night at Disney.

So, we would need to use these tickets on Friday. There is no way we could be at the Springhill Suites until about 10:00-11:00 am. We would probaby go ahead and grab a quick lunch before going to Sea World. Is that enough time to do most of Sea World?

I have read something about getting a second day pass at Sea World for free?? Can this be done with these tickets? If so, when is the 2nd day?

Also, if it is a nasty day, is Sea World still doable? I would hate to spend an extra $150 on tickets only to not be able to use them.

One of our children is nowhere near 48", so can we do rider swap or do you have to stand in line all over again?

There is also something called Ride Again with this package. Do you know what that means?

THANKS! I think it is a good deal, but am not sure!!

I haven't stayed with a Sea World Package, but I'll see if I can answer some of your questions -somebody will correct me if I am wrong on anything.

I think the package would include both arrival day and departure day. It may be worth going back on your departure day just to do the rides around park opening. There are only 4 rides and you can get through them all in hour as there will not be any lines (maybe with the exception of Manta) the first hour the park is open. The ride again feature allows you to stay on the ride for a 2nd ride without getting back in line.

With the park open until 10:00 p.m., you can probably get most of the shows (there are 5 main shows) in if you are able to stay that late. The Shamu and the Sea Lions shows run at night, but with different versions than are shown during the day. Most say it is best to see both versions, but if you are on a limited time schedule you may want to pick the night shows and try to see the other 3 shows (Blue Horzons-dolphins, with acrobats and diving mixed in; Allure-indoor music, dance and acrobat show, without any animals; & Pets Ahoy) during the afternoon. Most of these shows are show 3 to 5 times from the late morning through the late afternoon, and the nighttime shows are shown once or twice during the evening. There is also a fireworks/light show right before park closing.

Most of the rest of SeaWorld, other than the rides and shows, are walk-through exhibits - some outside and some inside. There is also a small childrens area by the Shamu Stadium with children's rides, play area and games.

I think the 2nd day free only applies to single day tickets. THe second day has to be used within a week of the firt day of use. I would doubt an extra day could be added onto your length of stay tickets, which I believe will be good for your arrival and departure days at the Springhill Suites.

If it is raining, you can sit in the upper parts of the Stadiums to watch the outdoor shows as there are overhangs above the upper seating that would keep you dry while watching the shows. IF the weather is real bad the shows can be canceled.
