Questions about Rome Escape summer 2022

Hello - I was just wondering what anyone who has done this trip with ABD prior to their cruise thought about the hotel, food, site visits, etc? Do you think it would cost less to do something similar on your own, perhaps staying at same hotel but arranging own tours and transportation? The trip date we need in June 2022 is already waitlisted, and while it may open up, I am concerned about not booking things now due to high travel demands. Thanks for any insight!!!

I have not done this excursion, however we are also on the wait list. I have booked my own hotels at this point and am watching the dates for booking tours on our own. You can definitely find (most) comparable tours and save money however having done another ABD in the past there is definitely value in having them coordinate this (especially post COVID). however my family wants to take advantage of being there - suggest you book refundable tours on your own to ensure you get what you need... We went ahead and booked our hotel and will book our own tours, as well. Thanks for the response - maybe we will see you in Italy!!
