Questions about rides...

I have what probably seems like stupid questions. I'm leaving Fri for an 8 day WDW trip with my mother. She has muscular problems which cause her difficulty at times. We already know we'll be renting a w/c "just in case". I'm curious about rides like It's A Small World, and the Winnie the Pooh ride, POTC, and "low-key" things like that. Are they boats you have to step down into or...?
Thanks! :earsgirl:

I don't recall which rides you have to transfer but they have signs posted outside regarding whether you need to transfer from the wheelchair or not. I think most of the rides do require you to transfer.

My FIL was in his wheelchair on our last trip, and he had to transfer on the majority of the rides. He was able to.. no big deal. He didn't ride the "intense" rides though.

You do need to step down into POTC. I only did IASW once, and don't remember how you load. Winnie the Pooh was a level transfer. However, remember many of the rides are transfers from a moving "sidewalk" that does not stop for you to load. If your mom is going to have troubles you may want to get a GAC pass. It will allow your mom to possibly load some rides in different areas where they can stop the ride to let her on and off. Things like that. You may want to check the disabilities board for more helpful tips.
