Now that I'm staying at RI, can anyone that has stayed there answer some questions for me. What time do they start serving the breakfast? Which restaurant would you recommend at the Garden Walk? I I read that they will do grocery shopping for you, how is that set up? Will they keep groceries I in advance from Von or place them in the room's frig? How is the configuration of the 1-bedroom suite? What was your experience with the staff? What were the beds like? Anyone that has any experience that would care to share, I would greatly appreciate it. :p

Week days I believe they have breakfast 630-930, and 7-10 weekends. You can also take stuff back to the room.

Garden Walk, I like CheeseCake Kitchen.

I'm not sure how they handle pre orders like Von's. I usually send them a list the morning of my arrival. But you give them a list by 9am, they shop and bring the order back early afternoon and put it away for you. Be specific on what you want.

1 bedroom suites - You open the door, and the kitchen is to one side, the other side is the living room. Walk straight back and there is a bedroom, with door. The bathroom is within the bedroom area. Beds are very good. Bedding is nice. And we like the staff. Very friendly and helpful.

When we stayed there, I wanted to strap their mattresses to the roof of my car and take them home with us. If that tells you anything...

LOL!! Gotcha! Great to hear it. Any recommendations for rooms (need 1st fl. will be in an ECV).?

Malcon, when you say "I send them a list" how exactly did that work? We are coming from the east coast so our flight is over 5 hrs long, we'll be in flight most of the day. Supposed to land at 12noon and having a car pick us up. Should I text a list to them then or day before? What would be your suggestion?:p

Not really, but I'd let them know ahead of time if you need a room with more accessibility. We stayed in a room I think was in the NW corner of the property (I'm terrible with directions but I remember it being right by the corner of Clementine and Disney Way). It was a pretty long path from the main sidewalk to our room, but during the evening we could go outside and watch the fireworks. We just walked around to the other side of our building and stood on the grass next to the fence that separated the property from the sidewalk. If you look on Google Maps you can probably see where I'm talking about.

Also, if I remember correctly, they have central heat and air. We stayed there Dec 27, 2012 through Jan 6, 2013.

Can you fax them? I fax the day before and explain what I need and when we expect to arrive.

I think I can fax them (my daughter does all that). Thanks for letting me know. I should have their fax no. from the booking receipt?:)

Stayed there in 03, 2 bedroom suite/penthouse I think they call it. 1 separate bedroom with upstairs loft bedroom. Nice with 2 bathrooms and separate place to sit/eat etc. I choose to call a taxi and do my own grocery shopping. With 2 people, quite easy. The grocery stores are just down the street. They charge extra for them to do it: I figured it would save me a little $. I believe the breakfasts start at 0600 or 0630: I found the buffet breakfast very nice: great variety for all!! Can get crowded at times, but very nice. We did the ARC: just down the street; get there early as well. I found this to get trying at times: you are one of the last stops before DL: and can get extremely crowded. Yet, too lazy to walk to DL!!! Pool is pretty small/simple. I found the best part was the laundry: you don't need to pack as much: just get some quarters and do a load or 2 of laundry. I found we didn't come back to RI as much as we thought. Stayed at DL and ate quick snacks and just didn't want to leave. Hope this helps! Have fun!!!:flower::flower1:

Just to clarify, RI does not charge to shop for you. They charge only what they get charged, I found it a great deal. Breakfast can get very busy, but we usually just took it to the tables by the pool or back to the room.

Art has changed some since 2003. Residence has 2 stops, both are in the middle of the run. You can use either bus 7 or bus 8.

That was one thing I really enjoyed, the ability to just bring our breakfast to the room. I'd usually pick up food for one of my sons while he was showering so that we could save time. And the buffet was definitely plentiful. I've always enjoyed RI's breakfasts.
