Questions about rescheduling

we have a trip planned this August but may need to reschedule for family health reasons.

I purchased park tickets in May or June and I can't figure out when they must be used by. I've searched online, but I'm missing the answer. Does anyone know how long I have to use them?

If we do reschedule, we'd have to choose between a week at thanksgiving this year (least likely to work out , but maybe), March 11-18, or June 3-10. (2017 for the last two options).

Which would you choose? We're in Texas and usually go in late August so heat isn't an issue. Prefer lowest crowds and prices. We usually get an August discount. We already have a different vacation planned next August so can't bump wdw to then.

Where did you purchase your tickets? Most WDW tickets do not expire, but I know that some tickets or tickets from some outside companies does have a date listed on them.

As for when to go back, I do not think I have been in the parks during the week of Thanksgiving or mid-March. I have been to WDW in early June once and I was pleasantly surprised. The crowds were not overly bad and the weather was definitely better than when I had been in July or August.

We purchased through Disney. Thanks!

June might be our best option. Thank you for your input!

A big benefit of August, IMO, is that you get extended hours. The three dates you list also have relatively long hours, but also relatively high crowds. Of the three, the early June dates are probably the lowest crowds, but you might also get shorter hours, especially for MK. Epcot hours stay the same almost all year. We'll see about AK. HS hours vary a bit, but not as much as MK. also depends how much you'd use EMH. Very busy weeks have more EMH.

Every time of year has pros and cons. Thanksgiving has crazy high hotel rates. Spring is also a high priced season. June is also kinda high, but it depends when in August you were planning to go. The end of August costs less than early August.

Sample Weeknight Rates for this year at value resorts: Thanksgiving:$155, Easter: $194, June: $150, Aug 1-13: $127, Aug 14-18: $127, Aug 19+: $111, March4-19: $153.

You might also look at the flower festival and ride opening dates. Postponing longer might mean more new attractions are open. then again, more attractions might = more people.

As I said, there's always pros and cons.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thank you for the additional information. We are booked starting August 13 and have a decent discount. There are a lot of different variables!

I'm not sure what we'll need to do - a grandparent's health is failing so I'm just sorting out options. thanks.
