Questions about renting points

Ok, lets say we would like to try this.

Lets say I would be interested in renting points for AKL but that I was not a DVC member, would it be possible???

And how could it work??

I much would I pay for 114 points (that was I saw on the calculating point thing!)???

First off you can contact someone on the rent/trade forum. Each owner may have different policies about renting their points. Points cost range from $9 to $12 per. The owner would have to make all the arrangments for you since non owners are not allowed to call MS. I also believe that there is a renting thread that you can read through that may help.....good luck

One thing I don't believe clear to new renters is the high occupancy rates with DVC. You can only do a stay on rental points if you can find somebody willing and able to get you a reservation. This is going to be especially true for AKLV when it opens, as it's going to be darn popular. Renters are going to have to arrange things far in advance and probably pay more per point than usual.

People renting out AKV points or reservations are getting a lot more than non-owners of AKV. In the range of $12-20 per point. Number of villas available are very limited until the new building opens in 2009.
