We're new to pin trading- DH and I bought DD(4) a lanyard when we were down in WDW this May. She had lots of fun trading the pins that came along with her lanyard, and a few old AmExp ones that we had from when WDW offered the 'white glove treatment'.
Now we are getting ready for a trip down for her birthday in October, and I started to try to stock up on some inexpensive pins from e-bay for her to trade. (Part of her birthday surprise.) I received my 1st shipment, and boy did they look different from the photos! After much investigating (and reading on this board) I've found that I have purchased the 'dreaded' Sedesma pins. I even found them on Pin Pics, so that's where the confusion comes in. I've read the threads about them, so what do I do? Try to trade them and risk her feelings being hurt by a CM that won't trade, or just put them away and beat myself in the head for not knowing enough? (I thought that I had done SO much research about pins, but obviously not enough...)
At this point we're only in it for her enjoyment and social interaction with the CM's. (One of the highlights of her trip in May.) If she really loves trading, a book of her own might be in her future, and the Sedesma pins could just go in there. But for now, does anyone have any opinions about what to do with them?
Thanks,
Mare
