Questions about our First Trip home (June)

First, thanks to the many people here for the help on deciding to buy in and all the extra tips (PAP, DC membership, PS's, etc).
I would like to know just how early I can pre-register for check-in? We arrive on June 29th at 8:15 pm, and we have already changed our ressie to begin on the 30th to save points (silly to spend to just sleep!). That being said, we will be purchasing PAP's with the DC discount (thanks everyone) and figure we can hit the parks early the first day. Can we stop at VWL before going to the parks to pre-register and unload our luggage, park and use Disney transportation? If I have groceries can they hold them as well (even perishables?)??
I'm sure I'll have a million more questions before we depart, so thanks in advance for your expert advice!

Yes you can register early in the morning and they will store your luggage. I believe they will also store your groceries and refrigirate your perishables. They will give you your room keys but you will not know your room number. You will have a telephone number to call in the afternoon to find out your room number. Just go back to your room when you are done in the parks and call for your luggage to be brought to the room..

And as for timing, officially you can check in as early as 7 a.m. (just likely that room will not be available then). Unofficially, you can do it even 10 to 20 minutes before that.
