Questions about making online ADR

I have done them before but it has never been an instance where we really want to get one. We have been so many times we have done just about all of the restaurants and must dos. However our next trip (June 2014) we are going with my husbands sister and her family. One of her children really wants to see Jasmine - it is the only thing they want - a meal with Jasmine.

Will it be easier for me to try to get the adr online? If so when can I jump in and try to get it? Midnight on the day my 180 day mark opens? Or is it later than midnight?

Or would it be easier to try to get it the old fashioned way - on the phone right when it opens at 7am eastern?

Online: 6 AM Eastern time
Phone: 7 AM Eastern time

Since online starts an hour earlier, I would try this first. Then if you can't make the res online, you could call at 7:00.
