Questions About Magic Bands and Split Stays

We check-in to the Yacht Club on Sunday and are moving to the Polynesian on Wednesday. Since these are two separate reservations we received two sets of Magic Bands. I purchased a 4 day Florida resident pass, attached it to my reservation and booked FP+ for our four park days.. My Disney Experience shows both resort reservations, our dining ADRs, both sets of Magic Bands and all our FP+ both online and in the iPhone app.

My questions:

1. Do I need the Yacht Club set of Magic Bands to open the door at the Yacht Club and the Polynesian set for the Polynesian or will either set open the door at both resorts?
2. Are the FP+ on both sets of Magic Bands or split across them based upon which resort we'll be at that park day?

Nothing is on a band. A band is simply a method for the scanners to read the data on your MDE account
All bands on your account access the same data
What you may want to confirm is that the band you plan to use is loaded in the data base for that resort. They can check that at the front desk for you. But you can use any band active on your MDE for anything Resort wide.

You can use any band assigned to you at any time. Whether you have split room reservations makes no difference. The only issue that may occur is that you should use every band you want to have in play to open your resort door. Test all of them, or at least the one you want to use, on the door first chance you get.
