Questions about loops for pop ups

I read that pop ups are only in loop 1400 and 600, I was concerned because isn't that also the loops being worked on?

I also was wondering if pop up camper sites got a cement slab.

Thanks in advance.

:)I believe from the posts I've read, that pop-up and tent sites were in loops 1500 and 2000 which have no sewer hook-up, all the rest have sewer hook-up

Pop-ups are allowed in all loops. Loops 1500 and 2000 allow nothing bigger than a pop-up, and they would be your cheapest options.

Tell that to the Class A moho in the 2000 loop that was about 35' long last Thanksgiving.

You can put a popup on any site you would like to pay for.

Ok so I could be placed anywhere? I guess what I am wondering is will I automatically get a cement area.. just trying to plan. Thanks

Do the other loops have popup blockers?
Everyone is a comedian now a days! :lmao:

If you book a partial hookup you will be in 1500 or 2000 and will have a sand pad (or at least 1500 was sand, I'm pretty sure 2000 is as well).

No matter what level of site you reserve, you will have at least some concrete pad.

The type of site you get depends on what you reserve.

At the present time, there are four different levels of sites:

Premium
Preferred
Full
Partial

When you make your reservation, you will be reserving one of the four types of sites. You may not have a choice between all four, as there may be only two or three types still available, or there might be only one available. Since you have a pop-up, you are eligible to reserve any of the site levels (if available).

All of the site on a particular loop are the same. The thing that is causing confusion at the moment is that some loops that used to be classified as full or preferred have been or are in the process of being converted to premium sites. The premium sites have large cement pads, and no sand pad. They have new, square picnic tables, and new grills with lids. The preferred and full sites have a concrete pad and a sand pad that will typically accommodate a cabin style tent. The partial sites have very small concrete slabs, and much larger sand pads. All of the non-premium sites have a rectangular picnic table, and older grill with no lid (both the table and grill will be "gently used" but completely functional).

Once you make your reservation, it is easier to predict where you might be placed. For example, if you reserve a partial site, then you know you will be on the 1500 or 2000 loop, because those are the only two partial sites. Once all of the renovations are done, you will be able to make similar predictions about the other site types. Right now, things are in a state of flux, and there is some uncertainty about what loops are what.

If you want a large cement slab, then reserve a premium site. If you want a smaller one, go for a preferred or full, if you want mostly sand, then reserve a partial.

Just to let you know, all levels of sites have "some" concrete.

The partials have a fairly short driveway and a large sand pad

The fulls and premiums have varying lengths of driveway (but longer than partial), and varying sizes of sand pad.

The premiums have all concrete, and just a little bit of sand around the hookups.

Disney? Don't you mean the Parks Service? ;)

Yup, pop-ups can go in any loop. I've stayed with mine in the 900 loop 2x and the 1000 1x. I've also got a Thanksgiving week ressie and asked for the 1500 loop.

I love camping in my pop-up at the Fort. It doesn't get very cold except some nights in January and since we have A/C we can even go all summer and be comfortable.

Although on the first 900 loop trip, I didn't slant my awning enough (it was in May) and a big afternoon rain came by and puddled up so much water it didn't run off but ripped the awning and drenched the coolers underneath. Oh the humanity. :scared1:

Needless to say, now I always put a pretty mean slant on my awning and also use bungee cords to keep it from blowing over the top.

Anyway, I got off-topic. I actually prefer camping in the full/premium/preferred sites at FW because all the people in an RV or TT usually use their own "facilities" sometimes so it is less crowded in the Comfort Stations. I've camped in the 2000 loop once and since it's primarily pop-ups and tenters there were more waiting to take showers in the morning, etc...

So stay anywhere you want - you'll have a great time! :woohoo:
