Questions about Liberty Tree Tavern

I am confused. I have the Unofficial Guide from 2009, so it's slightly out of date. It has the Liberty Tree Tavern as being a family style, all-you-can eat character meal for dinner. I checked WDWinfo, and it doesn't have a dinner menu listed at all.

So, is it all-you-can eat, family style for dinner, or do you order from a menu? What kind of food do they have? It seems like it would be turkey, roast beef and the like, but I just want to check. Is it any good?

Also, is it a character meal or not? From what I've read on the boards it seems like it has been a character meal in the past, but I'm not sure if it is now. If it is, what characters?

Thanks so much for any help you can give.

Go here to Allears.net. It has the menu listed. It also states:

As of January 5, 2009, the Magic Kingdom's Liberty Tree Tavern is no longer a character dining location. The last character dinner at the Tavern was January 4, 2009.

I hope this helps.

I do know it is a family style dinner!. They have stopped the character dining. As far as a menu, not sure!!!

Dinner is family style. Lunch, you can order off the menu.

I can't speak for dinner, but lunch was great!!!

Dinner is a traditional Thanksgiving feast with 3 meats, turkey, roast beef and roast pork, mashed taters, mac'ncheese, stuffing, greenbeans, salad, bread and dessert. It is terrific. I do wish the characters were still there.

We ate lunch there two years ago and it was wonderful and the service was extremely nice. Last year we took the family for supper and had the family-style service. It was too salty and starchy. It was also loud and there were many children crying making it hard to have a conversation. The wait staff was very pleasant and promptly filled our glasses often, but frankly if I am going to use my precious sit-down dinner credit, I will go for a meal that I don't usually have at home. Mac and Cheese with instant mashed potatoes are something I can put off.

Dinner is all you can eat as pp said its 3 meats (pork, turkey and beef) gravy and mashed potatoes, rolls and butter, green beans, mac n cheese, stuffing , salad and a cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The drinks are also all you can drink.

Lunch is a menu with things such as mozerella sticks, pot pie, salad, pot roast, turkey dinner and cheeseburgers. There is also more than one dessert option.

I went to LTT in 2008 and enjoyed the food alot, characters were still there then. But the meal is the same sans characters.

I was hoping ot was still a character meal, oh well. I'm going to talk it over with the family, and we'll see. I do like the all-you-can eat with three choices thing. Oh, and the menu at allears helped a lot. Thanks everybody!
