Questions about Hilton Head and Halloween please

We're thinking on canceling our 10 day trip in September to AKV for Hilton Head (pending a room is available).

I'm curious if anyone has been there on Halloween and if so, what type of activities did they do? Also, how was the weather.

The children are 4 and 7. Still trying to decide what to do!

We were at HHI last Halloween weekend, just two nights. I know there were children's activities throughout the day, but it was just DH and I and we mostly rode bicycles, swam and we went on the dolphin excursion.

During the evening the CM's dressed up and were at different stations throughout the resort and had small activities for the children/guests to do and gave out candies.

The weather was great. We went swimming and did enjoy the campfire one night. Shadow was there.

The CM's decorated pumpkins and they were exhibited in the lodge and were very creative.

There are also some activities in the Sea Pines Plantation at the south end of the Island. There's a hayride through the forest preserve and I believe, some activites in Harbour Town.
