Questions about Halloween party for our guests

Hi Disbrides- Some of our guests are asking about the Mickey's Halloween party. Never having been to DW in October, I don't know what to tell them. Here are the questions we have so far: Do you have to have a park admission for that day, in addition to the separate ticket?, How much is the ticket for the Halloween event?, What are the hours? (this would be Oct 21, 23, or 24th), and what ages is is appropriate for? Any other info you might have would be great! Is this something our planner would know about, or should I post it on another forum? Thanks!

I haven't done the Halloween party yet, but we did the Christmas party last December and it works pretty much the same so I can answer some of your questions. You do not need separate admission to the park unless you want to spend the day there before the party. The party officially runs from 7 p.m. until midnight but last year guests with party tickets were let in starting at 4 p.m. Not sure if that'll change this year--I guess there's always a chance they'll do things differently. We paid about $55 for our tickets on a premium night--there are some nights that are discounted a little bit. Hope that helps!

MNSSHP is a separate ticket event. You do not need a park ticket for that day. I have been several times and it is fun for all ages!
My DD and DSIL were married on Halloween at SBP and then wedding party went to MNSSHP that night.
I'm sure the price is on the Disney website. Children should absolutely dress in costume but plenty of adults are in costume as well. I usually go as Malificent. They give you a bag to trick or treat and there are candy stops all around. Rides are open as well.
Don't miss it!

My parents had so much fun when they went two years ago that they are bringing my grandparents, my sister and I along with both of our fiances! (We are all dressing up!!! )

Oh, you'll have the BEST time! Brian and I went last year on the day after we got engaged. It was sooo fun!!!

Thanks for all of your wonderful info and photos! It was very helpful. So... are most people in costume for this event? I am thinking with coming from Wisconsin, bringing favors, suits, bridal gowns (2!) and all of our luggage, costumes would put my family over the edge. I know this is a no no other times, but for the Halloween party can you wear a wedding dress in? (costume- it is not the wedding day)

Costume or no costume . . . you'll fit in either way! We chose not to wear costumes when we went to MNSSHP last year - I just wore my Minnie ears. I like to ride the attractions a lot and I didn't want a costume to get caught on anything or fall off anything
