O.K. DD 5 last night told me she wants to go on the Mickey Boat again. So, I'm really waiting for the itinery for the Christmas 2004 cruise to come out, as well as pricing!! Anyway, if it's just going to be too much money, we'd cruise during NJ Teachers Convention Week in 2004, which would mean the Oct 30, 2004 Eastern sailing. I'm worried about my kids missing trick or treating. Are there any special events in the clubs for kids on Halloween? My kids would be 3 and 6 then, and I really want it to be fun for them!!

We happened to be on the 7-day Eastern about two years ago during Halloween and it was a blast... we didn't even think about it being Halloween when we booked... turns out a lot of folks did... there was a big deck party... most of the crew/cast decked themselves out in Tyvek suits marked up to look like dalmations... all in all I think your kids would enjoy it unless they are sugar addicts and have to have the Halloween candy fix every year... if you do go, be sure to come up with some cool costumes... some of our fellow cruisers really outdid themselves... anyone on the boards happen to be on that cruise? Remember the family that went as grapes?

Hey Seadog, we were on that cruise. There were some great costumes; but the grapes were outstanding!!! I remember hearing they estimated about 1,000 people at the party.

Seems I remember hearing they had some trick or treating for the kids a bit earlier.

Were you lucky enough to see Tinkerbell? HE was at the early dinner seating; but I didn't see him after that.

jel0511-definitely take costumes. You will have a ball!

Nope... must have missed that one... probably a good thing...
We didn't even think of bringing a costume to a Halloween Cruise (go figure)... we at at Palos that night and were all dressed up so when folks asked us where our costumes were we said we were going as Mr. and Mrs. Eisner... my wallet was thinner than his, though.
