Hi Guys just a couple of questions which im sure you will all know the answers to!.

How do the may opening times differ to the high season opening times ie july-august, what can we expect not to see.

Weather - is it still hot enough to be wearing t shirts and shorts in the evening or do we need sweatshirts?

Jules

:D :D :D Jules - May is a GREAT time to go. We have been in May - until this year when we went Mid-October through early-November.

I went to Florida back in 1983 in October/November and couldn't remember an awful lot, other than losing various layers of skin, but DH is a real sun worshipper so I was a bit worried he might be disappointed with the temperatures, compared to our usual May/June trips.

I don't know what the new park hours will be, but let's put it this way . . . the earlier closing times this October (anytime fro 5pm - 7.30pm) were a bit of a shock to us - we're used to the parks closing around 10pm. However, I don't know what they plan next year.

As for temperatures - hot - anywhere between 27-34 degrees, we've never needed fleeces/cardies in May (except may be for the aircon in restauarants).

You'll love it then :D

Went in May this year - E-Nights were cancelled :( and fireworks were only on the Saturday nights but I think they were still goiing through 9/11 aftermath.

Hours tended to be 9-5 AK, 9-7 MK and MGM, 10-9 Epcot.

Fantasmic was on every night if my memory serves me well.

It was busier to me as I had previously been in the fall but quieter for Paul who previously went in school holidays. I think the longest we Q'd for a ride was 15 - 20 mins. Never seemed that long ;)

Weather was divine, no rain between 4-11 May !!

...... the weather this year in May was far from the norm! Janice and I went in the last week of May and we were expecting it to be very hot as in previous years but we were having to put on long trousers and sweatshirts in the evenings at the beginning of the week. Towards the end of the week the temperatures climbed up to near their average and then you only needed another top in some of the restaurants because of the A/C!

HI JULES

We went end of april beginning of may, and it was extremely hot, it was even on the news everyday about people being taken to hospital suffering from heat exhastion etc.
Def. no need for sweaters. but i think this was out of the norm for that time of year!!!!

we went in May 2001 and it was very hot, in fact they were having brush fires due to the drought.

i don't remember the park hours being short, we were definintly in MK and Epcot until quite late, we saw Spectro and Epcot Fireworks around 9 or 10pm.
