OK,

Garden Grill. It looks like the lunch and dinner menus are the same, just different prices. Is this true? Is the lunch good?

Which is better, Garden Grill or Crystal Palace?

Thanks!

We have been to both a few times...

The lunch is very good at the Garden Grill. Family-style. Yummy. Good for picky eaters. Very good character interaction. Pluto, Mickey, Chip & Dale have made their to us while eating lunch. The kids love the make-your-own cupcake!

We also love the breakfast at the CP. Pooh & Friends come around and have good interaction. The down side is that it takes a long time for the characters to come around because the place is big. So you may miss one depending on when you are seated. You can tell the characters assistant and they will try to get them to you before you leave. The breakfast food is excellent. Our favorite is the French toast. It is fired (bad for you BUT SOOO good). We did not enjoy the buffet lunch as much. Okay selection of okay food. We were not as happy but it is still okay if timing works out better for you. But we like making an ADR for before the park opens to get that pic on Main Street when it is empty. The you are in the park for when it opens. Just be careful not to do this on a morning that has Magic Hours. Then the park is too busy by the time you get out.

You really can't go wrong with either!

Our family prefers the Crystal Palace.

big garden grill fans here... cp is an okay, but not a must-do (yet we typically end up there every trip just 'cause it's convenient!)

the difference between the lunch and dinner menus is no salad at lunch, at least if i remember correctly!

I haven't been to Garden Grill, but did eat at Crystal Palace for lunch. My family thought that Crystal Palace was great!

Garden Grill was the one character meal my husband refused to go back to - he did not like the food. I thought it was mediocre at best. The character interaction was awesome. We went for dinner and walked in w/out a reservation in Feb 06. CP is one of our favorites and we are going back in two weeks! We've done dinner and breakfast. Both were good.

We too have never been to the Garden Grill. My family really enjoyed the Crystal Palace (not as much as Liberty Tree Tavern), but we still enjoyed it a lot.

Character interaction is great at both. Foodwise, GG had fresh and healthy fairly light foods, while CP tends toward more carbs I believe (only had breakfast there, just going by the menu).

CP is quite noisy because it's bigger and there's not a lot of soft surfaces (other than the characters!) to absorb the noise. GG is smaller, more intimate and much quieter - very nice after a noisy day in the parks! We had a late lunch there.

I would always pick GG over CP if you are looking for interaction but I would choose CP over GG for food.

We had Mickey, Chip, and Dale at our table at the same time a couple of different times. DDs got to color with mickey for what seemed like 5 or 10 minutes. Chip and Dale left and walked around the restruant and came back before Mickey left our table. Mickey and the gang dont seem to be in such a hurry to leave your table at GG. They stick around and have some fun. Another time chip and dale used our knives and our glasses to make music. It was so fun for the kids. We always eat there every trip!!:thumbsup2
