Questions About Ft. Wilderness

Hi,

I have a few questions about Ft. Wilderness:

  1. Do you have to be staying on Disney property to attend Chip and Dale’s campfire sing along? I know you don’t have to be staying at Ft. Wilderness, but I can’t find anything saying if it is open to everyone or only Disney resort guests. We will be staying off site but would like to attend this our first night.

  2. Is it possible to get just a couple slices of pizza from the P&J’s Southern Take Out? If we go to the campfire, we would like to eat dinner here first. We want to get the 10 piece chicken meal, but my youngest son is autistic and will not eat real chicken (only chicken nuggets). He won’t eat anything they have on the kids menu, either. I don’t really want to pay $15 for a whole pizza just for him when he will only eat 2 slices.

  3. Are kids allowed to play in the sand at Clementine Beach and/or on the playground since we are not staying on property? We may end up with some time to kill between dinner and the campfire program, and I’m just trying to think of ways to use up that time.
Thank you all for your help.

1) It is open/allowed to anyone. However, are you planning on driving into the resort? Driving just for the campfire/browsing/take-out could be an issue, as you may be turned away at the gate. I saw it with my own eyes several times this past trip. The guard asked for ADR or recreational confirmation #. If people couldn't produce either - they were directed to the TTC. They apparently were not happy about people parking there for free and using the boats, so admittance is based on whether he (guard's discretion) will allow you through.

2) I've only seen pizza-by-the-whole, but you can always ask if they will make an exception.

3) Yes

Hi. They usually have pizza on the Trail's End buffet so I would not hesitate to ask and explain why. They are the nicest people at Trail's End, I'm sure hope they will be willing to make up a kids QS meal.
