Questions about "free dining" reservation, APs and pre-purchased passes

Hi there! We are going to WDW for my DD's graduation present and we're bringing a friend. We 3 have APs and I purchased the friend a 6-day PH. We were planning to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge in a 1 BR but now I see we can get 2 rooms at the All Stars during "free dining" and I can rent my DVC points to cover most of the cost. We usually don't eat at TS restaurants because of the cost and "free dining" really makes it pretty affordable. It would be a real treat for my DD's final "fling" before college.

I know that we will have to purchase 4 2-day PHs that we won't need now, but will be able to use in the future. I know that I will be able to upgrade ours to APs once my our old APs expire. My questions:

(1) Can we have the 2-Day PHs removed from our MBs and have them replaced by our APs and the friend's 6-Day PH? I don't want to have to carry two MBs and risk using the wrong one for entry.

(2) Can the friend's left over 2-Day PH be transferred to someone else after the trip? I don't know if they will be joining us in the future and I'd rather keep their 2-Day PH in my pocket for our own possible use.

(1) I know you can prioritize which tickets you want to use. There's nothing "on" you Magic Bands.
(2) See the Tickets sticky on the TPA&S board. If not there, then I think there's a MB thread.

I've heard it explained that your magic band is simply a key to your profile on My Disney Experience. It doesn't matter which of your keys you use to open your file on MDE, it always accesses the same information. So, you can use any MB that is active on your profile.

If you want to use your AP, make sure to prioritize your tickets at Guest Relations.

(Yes, I know how MB work, but I was using this analogy to help explain it to the OP.)

I've never had more than one pass at a time so I didn't know about prioritizing passes. Thanks! Do I have to do it at Guest Relations or can I do it in MDX?

As PP's have mentioned, go to Guest Services prior to entering your first park and ask them to "prioritize" your tickets. Tell them you want to have the AP's and 6-day ticket prioritized over the 2-day PH. I would also suggest visiting Guest Services again after you've entered the park to make sure the tickets were prioritized properly. It's a pain, but it's better in the long run to make sure you are using the right ticket. As long as your DD's friend doesn't use that ticket and she is in your MDE account, you transfer that ticket to someone else.

You can transfer the friend's 2 day ph to anyone you want but not until it becomes active on check in day.

There is a way to do this on your MDX account without going to guest services. You create a phantom profile for each of the 2 day ph tickets. You won't be able to transfer the phs until they become active on check in day, but it is a way to avoid guest services. We did this when we booked a free dining trip and had to buy ph tickets. We are annual passholders and didn't want to accidentally use the ph's. I transferred the tickets as soon as I could before going into the park. Then when the trip was over I was able to transfer those tickets back to us. I used them when we renewed our annual passes. :)

Thank you! I have previous friends (that I control) on our DMX we can use. I've done FD with APs in the past but the passes were on a key card. This sounds easier.
