Questions about FP+

We're going down next week primarily for the beach but will be doing 1 day at the MK. We won't be buying the tickets until the morning of, unless we can make time to go get them the day before. I am worried with this whole FP+ thing that we won't get to ride as much. We won't be able to reserve FPs early and I don't have a smart phone. Will there be any FPs the day of like that? Are we just going to be out of luck? We don't do things like roller coasters (space mountain, big thunder, etc). Pirates and HM are a couple of our faves and I know the boys want to ride the race cars (forgot their name). Any advice?

I would make sure you are in the parks as close to opening as possible then find a FP+ kiosk to make your FP+ selections - many have success with this on these boards. Especially if you don't need the headliners, you should be fine.
Also, you can buy tix on-line and use the number given to you to link the tix to MDE before you pick up the tix - then you can make FP+ selections.

Order as "will call" (to be picked up at WDW) and you will get a "confirmation number"
when you order.
Put that confirmation number into your MDE account and you can make
advance FP+ reservations.
