Questions about FP+ kiosks

did you use it for a 4th (or more ) FP or to change / arrange the 1st 3? I ask because on Josh's site (might have been Kenny's) I seem to recall it saying that you could not make a 4th FP on the City Hall ones....just checking for our May trip

I can't think of a reason why this makes any sense. It is an inconvenient location to say the least for 4th FPs as it's so far from any FP+ attraction other than the Mickey/Tink M&Gs. Maybe you read "should not" instead of "could not". ;)

We used it for a fourth after coming from another park where we had used our first 3. There were 2 kiosks in city hall both right inside the front door to the right.

OK found the note (on Kenny's site) it says " * not considered an in- park kiosk" from that I thought he meant you could not use those kiosks to make a 4th and beyond FP. Clearly I'm confused!

It was convenient as we used it upon entering the park to see what may still be available. I agree it would not be convenient once in the park and down Main St. into the lands...

I honestly don't know what he means by that. Maybe he'll chime in....

What I'm curious about is if people used the Kiosks for a 4th FP+: What time did you use it, what attractions were available, and what attraction did you get? What about at DHS and Epcot?

Thanks

Availability will totally depend upon the crowd level and possibly the park hours. It will vary greatly. Also, availability isn't the only factor. You also need to know what times were available. If they are available close to closing, well usually the ride lines get smaller by then anyway.

On Saturday 2/14 -- they could have had FPs issued to use the FP+ machines.

The ones we saw outside of Philharmagic -- I think there were 3 there -- probably were lined up 10 deep on each one. I never actually tried to use one since per my phone, all FP for the day were already gone when I looked at the app around 8pm. We didnt get to the park until 6pm and already had our 3 for the day lined up.

Yes, I am aware of all the factors involved. But my question remains: If you got a 4th FP what time did you access the kiosks and what 4th FP did you get? I am really curious about 4th FP availability in DHS and Epcot.

Do you subscribe to Touring Plans? Their app shows FP+ availability for each park throughout the day for the current day and beyond. They supposedly use info from WDW. This could work well, because you could get info for days that have similar crowd levels as your days.

Another way is to look at MDX; however, I think this requires you to have free ticket days, which a lot of us that are getting closer to our trips do not have anymore.

I'm curious about availability too. We're going during Spring Break so it looks interesting.

I hope that I planned well for MK. I'm leaving a few hours in the morning to hit things at rope drop. Then we have one FP+ and another gap in the hopes of scoring an ADR for BOG. Then I planned the next two as close as I could get them to early afternoon. I hope that something decent is left after all of that.

In late July, we got extra FP+ for Buzz, JC, and HM. This was a typical summer day (crowd level 7-9). We got the 1st extra FP+ probably around or after 2pm. BTMRR had been down. There wasn't anything for 7DMT in the afternoon, and I didn't ask about later.

We also got extra FP+ at AK sometime around 2-3pm and later for Primevil Whirl. Safari was available but not until 5pm or later. Dinosaur was also available, but we didn't want that. Didn't try for EE.

We didn't try for extra FP+ anywhere else.

Buzz and the Haunted Mansion are two that I was hoping for! JC would be good too if I can drag the rest of my party with me. ;)

We got our 4th for Small World but it was totally unnecessary. This was last week so it was very busy/high crowd levels. We got to MK around maybe 9 pm. Buzz, HM, JC and a handful of others were available pretty much with immediate times up to closing which was 1 am. NO 7DMT, PPan, Space, BTMRR or Splash, but we were not surprised by that, we had FP for those for other days.

It seems app availability and kiosk availability may differ.

Buzz almost always available at the kiosk. As is HM,
It goes vack to the crowd management aspect. Push people where you want them.

I will say in Jan we got an additional for Buzz immediatly (720pm-ish) and the FP line was nuts. All the way back to Laugh Floor, took about 15-20 min. Could have been a breakdown issue or may have just been overbooked.
