Questions about Feb 1&2 (at POFQ)

We are adding two days to our stay, Feb 1 and Feb 2. We originally had planned to stay at a value resort however, i read that cheerleaders will be staying the first two weeks of Feb. AHHHH I would much rather pay an extra $100 to stay at POFQ. However, I have a couple questions. Should I be concerned about cheerleaders and crowds from Mardi Gras at POFQ? Will this affect the transportation negatively? If I book now, can I apply AAA or public discount code at a later date? Thanks so much for all your insight

What are the dates for the cheerleaders? My trip is Jan 26- Feb 2 at POFQ. Mardi Gras is Feb. 5 I believe. If you are leaving Feb. 2- like us- I'd think you will be fine. Most poeple probably won't arrive until the 2nd. If you book now, I know if a public discount code comes out you can apply it later- done that before. However, don't know about AAA.
