Questions about Eurostar Train from London

I am starting to plan a trip for 2012. I have never been to Europe so I am trying to figure this out. I have reviewed the sticky's on the thread but I think I need some opinions about very specific questions.

Originally I was planning to fly into London first, then take the Eurostar direct train to Paris Disneyland, finish up our trip in Paris and fly home from there. I am trying to plan our trip to Disneyland during the weekdays to avoid crowds since we will only do two park days. I want to take a direct train since I will be traveling with my DD who will be 12 and I am trying to keep things more simple.

However, based on the dates I want to come out my planned day for the train was a Tuesday. There is not a direct train on Tuesday's.

I have two options, wondering is it better to arrive in Paris from London or vice versa, better days for Disney, etc.:

1. Fly in a day later, keep original plan and spend Thursday and Friday in Disney.

2. Do the Paris leg first, fly into Paris, spend Monday and Tuesday in Disney, take the train from Disneyland to London and finish our trip there, flying out of London.

My other question...is it better to purchase a package from Eurostar that includes hotel and park tickets or purchase a Disney package and get the Eurostar tickets separately? Anything special I need to know about purchasing one way tickets?

Wow! I know that's a lot...but frankly I am completely new at this and appreciate any help.

I haven't traveled on Eurostar very often so I can't give you lots of tips but I do travel through London and Paris on the way back to the States every now and again.

I usually book tickets through London or Paris depending on price - generally speaking London is cheaper for me - direct to Houston. Paris is usually more expensive and it is usually more expensive to fly out of a different airport - but definitely check it out - could be doable. I do remember flying into London and out of Paris one trip. Once I book airline tickets, that usually determines my other options. I have been able to get direct Eurostar tickets from DLRP to London for about $60 one way - look into the Eurostar.com - US website for good prices. I usually book online - print out my ticket at home. To get the more affordable seats book as soon as you are able. The Eurostar is a good service - very convenient in my mind. Good luck and happy planning!:)

we love the eurostar great way to travel. I can't answer most of your qyestions but it is always cheaper to book the train and eurostar separately. have prices previous trips up all ways and cheaper to do separetly.

good luck with the planning!

Thanks. I will definitely price both airlines once my time frame is available. I am looking at late May-early June in 2012. I am trying to avoid any school holidays and the Queens Jubilee. So I think my original plan of going to London first makes more sense.

Thanks that is good to know.

I think one of my main concerns is I really want to try and be at Disney on weekdays. Originally I was looking at Wed-Thu, but that required a Tue train day which doesn't work. Are Friday's really busy at the park since I am now looking at doing Thu-Fri?
