I think that I have finally talked my DH into going on a vacation to Disneyland (yay!). We are looking at going in March ast hat will be when we have time off. Our children will be almost 4 and almost 2. We will need to get strollers. What do you do with the strollers while you are on a ride? Alos, can someone explain the meal pass to me? And, is it worth it to pay the extra $70 to stay at the DLH rather than the Red Roof Inn? I doubt we will go swimming. How much luggage are you allowed on a plane? I haven't bee to DL for over 15 years, so this is all kind of new for me! Thanks for any answers that can be given!

Ok, let's start with hotel. As I will tell anyone, staying onsite isn't really a big deal. I'd save the money and stay offsite. The food packages aren't a good deal at DL either. You're better off paying as you go, that way you know you didn't waste anything. Airlines I believe let you take two small carryons and 2 suitcases per person, you should be fine. When you go on a ride they have an area outside the ride to park your stroller. Everyone does it and it's VERY rare that anything happens, just make sure you take your wallet and cameras with you so you have your valuables. Have fun planning!

Thanks for the info! Another question: How long will the lines be around March? My husband has never been and not looking forward to it. He is afraid that it will be busy and crowded and is freaking out about it! Thanks again!

We are going in early march... I am learning a lot on these boards about trip planning! We are staying at DLH just for the experience of it once. One thing... I was REALLY worried about crowds also. When I called DLH they actually looked on the convention centers calendar and were able to tell me when things would be around. A big cheerleaders convention and a basketball convention are in late feb... I dont know about mid march, but Id check that out too if you are worried about crowds as we are. You do know that March is spring break for most everybody, right?

Yes about Spring Break. That is actually why we are going, LOL :) . I never thought about calling to get info from the hotel! Thanks!

If you have (or want to get) a Disney VISA, you get 2 free strollers every day at DL. If you can avoid Saturday in the parks, crowds shouldn't be too bad.

There are a lot of choices between DLH and RRI---you might want to check out the other hotels right across the street from DL. They are really easy walking distance.

Check with your airline. My sister works for Delta at LAX and tells me they are getting strict on luggage and check in. Some are beginning to weigh domestic luggage which never happen in the past. Some are only allowing one carry on. Double check with your airline and also double check with them on their recommendation on how early to arrive for check in for the airports you're flying in and out of. Delta now has a policy that you and your luggage must be checked in for your flight 25 mins. ahead of time or your seat may be given away. With all the security checks, it's taking longer so be sure you're leaving yourself enough time.

When I flew to Hawaii a couple of summers ago out of LAX, we arrived two hours ahead of time thinking we had plenty of time. We spent the entire two hours waiting in line and travelling on three different shuttles before we got to our gate and that's with airline personel taking us out of the line to shorter ones so we could get to our flight ontime.
