Has anyone used the Disneyland Express (Greyline Anaheim) recently?

I am thinking of using them again to go one way from LAX to DLH. When i used them last summer, we did not pre-purchase tickets and when we boarded, they were charging a different rate than what I saw online. I got them to match the price by showing it on my phone, but it was a hassle.

To buy online it looks like it is $30 per adult one way with kids free so it would cost us $60 for the 3 of us. Are there any discounts to be had? The Mousesavers rate is round trip only.

Should I buy my tickets in advance? but then I'm locked in.

Any other options/transportation methods I should consider?

Thanks!

We used them last week from SNA to DLR. There were great and on time. We purchased online.

I've used this service quite a bit lately to/from LAX. I buy vouchers on getawaytoday.com. The discount is about $3 each way.

My family used the Disneyland Express in December 2013. We were all very happy with it. I pre-purchased the tickets online. Honestly, I didn't even look for discounts. We were able to just show them the printed receipt/voucher at the airport, and we got right on the bus. For DLH, it's great because that's the first stop after the airport (where there are multiple stops to pick people up), and it's the last stop before heading back to the airport.

We're staying off property in October 2014, and I'm planning to use it again, though we won't be the first stop so I'm sure it'll take slightly longer. I like not having to mess with having a car. And I don't have to use car seats for my little ones, which means I don't have to lug them through the airport.

So, based on our experience, I would recommend it. It sounds like a few other posters had ideas of where to get discounts, which is great. I'll use those next time.

The Disneyland express! Worked out very well for iur family and would do it again!

We always stay at eight VGC or PPH so we've been the first or second stop!

We have used the DLE both times we have gone staying both off and on sight and will be using them again this year. We always get our tickets in advance and haven't had any issues in using them.

I've used DLE in the past, Super Shuttle, and Karmel. I far prefer Karmel Shuttle.

Apparently they will always have cars themed busses and will always be a Coach.

This is because another company had been running a smaller bus called the Disneyland Express. This is not the DLR Express approved by disney and people are getting on this bus by mistake.

Always make sure the bus says Disneyland RESORT Express to make sure you are on the Greyline bus.

Thanks all, I think I'll just buy on-line. I couldn't find the getawaytoday discount, but it seems like it is small anyway.

And yes, it is a plus that we are getting off at DLH :thumbsup2

Speaking from experience as well, another vote for Karmel Shuttle.

Can anyone clarify the online booking process? If I click "inbound" and select Disneyland Hotel, then round-trip, then I'm getting the correct ticket, right?

I just don't understand the inbound/outbound selection at all!

Thanks!

We've used it twice from SNA to Disneyland. The first time was okay and the second time was 1/2 good and 1/2 a mess.

Never a problem from the airport. It is the from hotel back to the airport we had problems with the last time. The driver got lost :confused3 and in general looked like he wanted to cry. I felt bad for him. We are taking a taxi this time.

We use them every time we fly - it's so much easier with 4 kids to not have to worry about car seats/boosters. We always pre-purchase online just because I like it paid for and done.

Select inbound to your hotel and then round trip and that is the correct ticket. The ticket you print will have one voucher for inbound, one for outbound and for some reason a second (can't remember if it's inbound or outbound) and your receipt.
