Happy Holidays, y'all...

I am painstakingly reviewing our dining options for our June trip in order to get all of the ADR's we need... We're staying at the Contemporary, and I'm looking at my list seeing we're eating at a full service restaurant almost every night. I guess that CR just doesn't have anything like a 'foodcourt' that would do for just a simple evening meal. Am I wrong? I guess we could walk to MK (we'll have park hopper passes) and grab a bit at Cosmic Rays, but do I have any other options? At least when we stayed at Pop we could just grab a quick bite at the food court of we didn't feel like going somewhere for dinner. Is there anything like that at CR? I looked at the list closely and didn't see anything...

Thanks- and Merry Christmas!

The CR does have a quick service food location. Until recently it has been the Food and Fun Center on the 1st floor. This has been temporarily shut down and the food court portion moved to a temporary location on the 4th floor.

When the new restaurant, The Wave, is completed on the 1st floor the Concourse Steakhouse will be closed down. This is currently set for early May, 2008. At that time there will be a small increase in the seating at Chef Mickey's, and a permanent relocation of the food court to the remainder of the Concourse Steakhouse area.

Also, here is a link to the current menu at the Food and Fun Center.

The new counter service location which is to be called Chef Mickey's Express that will replace the Food & Fun Center does not open until August 14, 2008. Last night I went to visit the Contemporary and their temporary location is not that bad. They are still selling all the sandwiches and salads that was sold in the Food & Fun Center, plus they are selling hot dogs, flat bread pizza's and soup. The only difference is you can not use the mugs there, so drinks were only sold in bottles.

So, chances are there will be SOMEWHERE where we can just grab a burger if we don't feel like a full service meal in June of 2008, right?

Would you be interested in hopping the monorail over to the Polynesian and eating at Capt Cook's?? Or eating at the GF counter service area?

This is what I was going to suggest. I love the Polynesian food court, and the one at GF isn't bad either. Both would probably be easier than heading into the park just for a QSR.
