Questions about Davy Crockett Ranch

Hi we've stayed here before and enjoyed but have never tried the pool or the restaurant. Is anyone able to help with these qu's please?
Restaurant - to eat in would you recommend or not?
I understand you can get a takeaway from there to eat in your cabin - is that from the standard menu or what sort of food is it?
The pool - what time does it usually stay open until? IE would we be able to go there after the park closes?

The pool is considered the best on-site of all the Disney hotels so you will not be disappointed. From memory I think the pool is open until 10pm, but I'll need to check my papers here to confirm.

Carry out is from the same menu you just get your food in a carry-out container
We thought the food was reasonable. On certain evenings there are theme nights that often include the dinner as part of the deal.

We love the pool at Davy crockett & one of the reasons we stay there. Usually swim after a day in the parks.

We ate twice in the restaurant in 2005 & found the food OK & at that time it was a buffett. CMs aorund to entertain the children & ocassional visits from characters. Ate there because it was convenient and worth teh money.

Thanks so much for the help - in the light of that I have a couple more questions! Is it all you want at the DC restaurant ie like a buffet???? I have looked on the dlpfood guide site and it doesn't say that but perhaps it is a bit out of date? Also - have seen some bad reviews on tripadvisor about grotty cabins - should I be worried - have stayed before and it was fine - but now feeling a tad concerned.....

Can't help with the restaurant questions as we didn't eat there on our last trip.

Regarding the cabins we were happy enough. Definitely the 2 bedroom cabins are in better shape. The main reason being that they are newer
We've always found them to be clean and pleasant
