Questions about Cypress Pointe Resort

Hi everyone. My niece and her 2 sons will be spending 3 weeks with me i July at Cypress Pointe Resort. I've been reading a lot of mixed reviews lately on Tripadvisor. A lot of complaints have been about the AC. They say that the AC can't be lowered less than 75 and that it can't be felt in the bedrooms. They say that if the AC is lowered to less that 75 the AC freezes inside and it's the renters responsibility to what happens to the AC.

Has anyone that stayed at Cypress Pointe Resort recently knows if that is true? I'm just thinking about sleeping in a hot bedroom in July and it's driving me crazy. I don't think I can handle 3 weeks of it.

Thanks for any info.

That's good to hear that you didn't have a problem with the AC. The reviews have been so mixed. I read that Cypress Pointe is rated high on Tug2.net, but I don't think too many members stay there. The last Tug member review was Sept. 2013 and they said it was nice but outdated.

If the rooms were refurbished, why are Tripadvisor reviews saying the place looks outdated. Do owners get the updated rooms and renters get whatever is available at the time of heck-in?

I'll be there for 3 weeks and I hope I don't regret my decision to try it.
