We managed to reserve a studio conciege level room at AKL. My questions:

What do you get for food/snacks?

Is safari sunrise worth it?

I thought I heard there were only 2 studio conceiege rooms. Does anyone know if they are both safari views, 1 safari view or none safari views?

Anything else I should know about the conciege level?

Three of us have done the Sunrise Safari and we all felt it was worth it.

We really enjoyed the breakfast offerings on the CL!

Enjoy your stay!

any one know about the snack and drinks on the conciege level?
That is ever changing. We have stayed CL 3 times, and it's never been the same. Usually you have to kind of watch what time they are bringing things out, because things will disappear rather quickly. Breakfast is usually pretty good, as is the dessert tray in the evening.

I went in March. Morning was an assortment of small pastries, muffins and bagels, a couple of hot cereals (oatmeal and quinoa), cold cereal boxes, juices, milk and coffee including an espresso machine. Afternoon was cheeses, olives, assorted canapes, cookies, juices, South African wines and beer. Evening was an assortment of small cakes and chocolate desserts, coffee and espresso, and 3-4 liquers like Grand Marnier. Soda and fruit are available all day.

We loved the Sunrise Safari. We had a pool view room, which was disappointing, but we split our stay with a Kidani savanna view. If it's not too late and you haven't already done so, I would suggest splitting your stay between the Concierge level (to include either Saturday or Wednesday night to do the Sunrise Safari) and a savanna view room.

CL at AKL is good if you like a little extra space to chill out if you want to venture away from your room. We found the Cast Members there to be very friendly towards children. Pastries were very good.

We really enjoyed both of our concierge stays -- each time we did both the Sunrise and Sunset Safari. We liked the evening wine selection and developed a taste for Amarula. And the smoothies...yum!

We LOVED the sunrise safari. I want to do it again. We also have done the Wanyama, and we are thinking of doing that one again in December when we again stay at AKV.

How do you sign up for Sarari Sunrise? DO you need a reservation? Or can we just arrive and sign up? Does it fill up? Who do you call?

When you are booked in CL, you can call the concierge desk, and they will book it for you. Don't forget to ask if there is a DVC discount. I seem to remember there was back a couple years ago when we did it.

They do indeed book up quickly, so do it ahead for sure. Also, I think they are on Sunday and Thursday, so you would need to stay Saturday or Wednesday night to take advantage of it. I would check the days to make sure though.
