we're going to WDW with some friends in april 2008. our friends have a 3-year-old DS. our friends want an "adult night" one night of the trip where we'll go see cirque, eat at narcoosee's then go to PI afterwards (maybe not in that order, but you get that idea) and they will be hiring an in-room babysitter for their DS that night. my friends also want to be on the DDP. since their DS will not be eating at narcoosee's with us, that will leave him with 2 TS credits that he hasn't used. am i right that on the 2008 DDP everyone in the room has to have the same plan? i was hoping they could just not buy the DDP for him and pay for his meals OOP since he won't be using those 2 TSs. any advice?

Sorry, everyone in the room must either be on the plan or not on the plan. You can't pick and choose who gets it. It's a package deal. You either get the entire package or you don't.

Not using those 2TS credits will cost them less than $5. The plan for 2 days cost $20, they can eat $8 each day of CS/Snack meals, so the TS is only cost about $2!! Not much in the grand scheme of the vacation.

We're on a longer trip but something similar. One night, our kids will go to Simba's Cub Club ad we will go to Jiko (DDP2) with park/dancing after. With a Princess Breakfast, Boma Dinner, and 50's Prime Time lunch, we'll use all 5 TS credits for our 5 night stay but the kids will have 2 left. We'll probably add a dinner at Wolgang Puck, paying for ours. Then, if they have 1 credit left, we'll let them use it at breakfast the last day (using a TS credit for CS breakfast is better than letting it go to waste.)

thanks for all your responses! i figured something out last night. we are planning on doing kona cafe for breakfast one day and paying OOP for it (it's not expensive at all and i NEED tonga toast!). so that's one meal that they can use a TS credit for the 3-year-old. then we're going to spoodles another night where they were gonna pay OOP. we're using our TS credits for that meal and they aren't. see, they'll have used some TS credits for chef mickey's breakfast and we're not going to that. anyway, i figured we can get 2 meals and they can get 2 appetizers and we can split it all. that's another meal luke (the 3-year-old) can use a TS for because i'm pretty sure he won't want to eat what we're eating if we're all sharing. so those 2 TS credits will all be squared away as long as we remember to ask for them a kona breakfast and spoodles dinner! :thumbsup2 confused yet?

Paying for a kids club will cost more than possibly "leaving 2 Kids TS meals" so I wouldn't think twice about it. We left one and saved $ as we would have paid OOP for the adult meal to use the credit.

By the way I understand you can get Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's, so you don't have to use a TS credit if that's your primary motivation for going to Kona Cafe.

he's only 3 so he can't go to a kids club. she has to hire an in-room babysitter for him. i wish they'd bend the rules on that because i know he'd love going ot neverland club or something!

thanks for the tip about captain cook's. we'll probably stick with kona because her husband i'm sure won't want tonga toast. that way he can get the big kahuna or something. thanks again! :goodvibes

They aren't Disney's rules. They are state of FL rules.
