I tried to do my best searching through threads for these answers so I apologize in advance if these questions have been asked a million times...

We're going to Universal in late October. I'm thinking about possibly staying at the cabana bay resort for a few days instead of staying off site. We are flying in very late Saturday, landing at 11pm. Probably not getting to the hotel until 11:30pm. I was planning on Sunday and Monday being our park days. We would need to leave fairly early Tuesday morning.

Are there specific check in/check out times?
With early entry, is that offered to us every day we will be staying at the resort? I know that HHN will be going on the Sunday and Monday evenings we are planning on for the parks and I don't know if that typically has any impact on EE?
How are the shuttles to the parks? Do they leave early enough for early entry?

Thank you in advance!

From their website:
Check-In And Check-Out Times
Check-in is at 4 pm, and check-out at 11 am. You may check out by television, phone, express check-out box available at the front desk or traditional check-out at the front desk.

They have shuttles that are fast, easy and convenient. Yes, they work for early entry.
There is early entry every day. FYI- it's usually the same park for large blocks (weeks) at a time; they don't alternate daily. Limited rides operate but it's a perk worth having.

Awesome, thank you!!

Hotels.com seems to have a good deal on a room at cbbr right now, $148 a night. I may book through them and buy tickets from undercover tourist, I think I'll end up saving quite a bit that way instead of booking the package straight from the universal site!

Just a quick check of hotel prices (at the official site), for the last two weekends in October, shows the same price that you are getting quoted from hotels.com. I know hotels.com usually has two kinds of bookings...normal (you can cancel a reservation) and one that you lose your money if you have a change of plans. If you are set on your dates, I would go ahead and book through the official site and continue to check for cheaper prices, until your trip. You have until 5 days prior to your trip, before you start losing money for cancelling/changing reservations.

You may be able to find a package that is cheaper than booking separately, but those are usually on longer visits, so I think it is best to separate them. Plans change and the packages are pretty unforgiving if that happens.

I'm about 98% sure our plans won't change right now (I'll know for sure 100% in June) so I liked that hotels.com had what looked like easy cancellation. I wasn't sure what universal had for a cancellation policy but if it's about the same then I guess I could book through either and be good! But yeah I'll definitely end up buying hotel and park tickets separate because I know that UT discount will help.

If I were to book the hotel from universal and later on see a discount on our room would they honor it and reimburse us for the difference? Or would I cancel the room and rebook if there's a discount? Like I said I'll know our plans 100% in June so I'm trying to wait until then to book.

USO will adjust the rate on a room only booking.
