1)If I cancel, there is no penalty?
2)Do the Ticketless Travel Funds flights have to be booked within one year or used within one year?
3)Is it one year from the date of the purchase or cancellation?
4)Is there any flexibility in going beyond one year ?

thanks

2)Do the Ticketless Travel Funds flights have to be booked within one year or used within one year? any flight paid for with the TTF must be completed by one year from the date of original purchase
3)Is it one year from the date of the purchase or cancellation? see above ;)
4)Is there any flexibility in going beyond one year ? I believe you can call and ask for an extension, but I haven't ever done this so I'm not sure how it works. There is a thread on the board somewhere that discusses a poster getting an extension...
thanks

Sorry....but I'm still not clear on my question 2 and 3).

If I have purchased tickets already(in May).....and say I cancel by August.
Are the TTF valid for 1 year from May or 1 year from August ?
Is this one year period for actually purchasing replacement tickets or using them ?
Sorry,but I just want to make 100 % sure what I'm doing.

not a problem....It is a little confusing.

Say you purchase tickets on May 1, 2006 and then cancel them, you will get Ticketless Travel Funds. You will have one year from May 1st to use the TTF.

I used to be under the assumption that you had to book the travel by May 1st, when you actually need to complete travel by that original purchase date (May 1st in this case)

Does that help??

Understood....Thanks again
I have an kind of odd suggestion....
If I was to book and cancel (as mentioned).....if the one year date from the original purchase was too soon for me to use it,.....is there any reason why I could not book another trip....and cancel it again???
In other words is there any limit on the number of cancellations and will the one year clock start from the second booking date ?

Each TTF has a confirmation number associated with it ~ the same confirmation number that is on your reservation, so if you were to cancel and rebook using the TTF, then cancel the new reservation, the TTF would still have the original confirmation number on it thus keeping the same expiration date. There would be no limit on how many times you could cancel and rebook, but the expiration date would not change by doing that.

I had two different TTF confirmation numbers that I used to book a flight for DH (one for $100 and the other for $126) . I had to cancel the flight and both of the TTF reverted back to what they were originally with their original expiration dates.

Some other people here have reported being able to get a 6 month extension...you would just need to call the customer relations number I think.

Thanks Cepmon.
I think I will try for the extension.
