Questions about BWV studio stuff!

Hi there,

We are renting points from a co-worker of mine for our upcoming trip. We are going to be in a preferred view studio for 5 nights at the BWV. I would like to know a couple of things.

1. What exactly is provided, bathroom and kitchenette wise?

2. I know they only do trash and towel service 1 time a week, but I don't know after how many nights or if they do it at all for a 5 night stay. What do we do if we run out of clean towels? Can we request extra towels, or can you only do that if you pay the $25/day housekeeping charge? We don't care about the bed being made or sheets changed or anything like that, just towels.

3. What 'extras' should I bring that I wouldn't normally need in a traditional hotel room? We will be bringing snacks, drinks and breakfast foods.

4. Where can I find a layout or pictures of a studio?

5. Can the DVC owner request non-smoking and a Boardwalk view when he makes the arrangements? Does a preferred view mean Boardwalk view? What is a good location/floor?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Wow - lots of questions! Let's see.....

Think of a studio as a big hotel room with a mini refrigerator, a coffee pot, a toaster, a sink, paper plates, plasticware, and some coffee cups and glasses.

Bathroom comes with soap and shampoo, just like a hotel room.

For 5 nites, I think you get trash and towel once. If you run out of towels, there is some nominal fee for a new set.

You've covered the basic bring alongs. Laundry soap if you don't want to buy it from the vending machine. Extra coffee.

The studio floor plans are on the Disney DVC site.

There are 3 views :Standard, Preferred (garden or pool / canal) and Boardwalk. The view you request is guaranteed. A non smoking request is not guaranteed but usually not a problem. All of the floors are good, as are all of the BW views.

Your trash & towel will be on day 4 with your check-in day counted as day 1. If you check-in on Sunday, your T & T will be Wednesday. You can call housekeeping and request a different day if you like. You can request 4 additional sets of towels for $6. You can get additional trash & towel service for $10 per day requested (this would give you additional soaps, paper products, coffee in addition to the towels and trash pickup). There are rooms for dumping trash on each floor between service days.

If the member gives you a copy of the reservation, it will list your trash & towel day and also if you have boardwalk or garden/pool view (both are preferred category).
