Questions about booking our room today

Hi all,

We're going to be booking our rooms today (hopefully AKL for June 6-13) and I wanted to see if anyone had any last minute advice.

Should we book through AAA? Over the phone? Over the internet?

If discount codes come out, will we be able to apply it to an existing reservation?

Do you know approximately how much we'll have to put down?

And, should we just go ahead and get a package? We'd like to add dining to our tickets, so can you only do that if you get a package, or can you get it with MYW tickets?

I'm really excited! This is our first trip!

several questions.....some answers...

we always book room only and add tix as it ususlly ends up cheaper that way if you are able to get any type of room discount...

the packages do not offer a discount on the room and you do need to have a pkg to get the meal add-on....

if you have AAA you can get that discount if available through CRO and calling yourself

you can apply a code to an existing ressie if there are rooms available at code rate when they come out

your deposit will equal one night room rate

If you're booking AAA for a package you have to book through AAA. If you're booking room-only with AAA discount, I'd call Disney directly. That way you receive confirmation from them and I also think it's easier to submit requests, etc. with Disney directly.

If a cheaper code comes out, you will be able to apply that code instead of AAA discount (assuming rooms are still available at that rate.)

The down payment is one night's deposit.

Thank you both for your responses! I'll just go ahead and book over the phone through Disney then. We're doing room only and we'll try to find the tickets cheaper elsewhere.

Just booked myself this week, and opted for a package through AAA. Still got the equivalent of room-only savings, but was able to get the dining package which will save $$$. MYW tickets aren't really going to be cheaper elsewhere, and the convenience of dining makes the package worth it. IMHO.
