We are gold now and i hope when the new dates come out we can book early. How many rooms can i book? Can we only book cruises in our names or book for other family members who are not gold? We usually book on board but this time we booked placeholders. 3 to be exact between the 2 rooms we were in and since we were on the Jan 30th Fantasy cruise we also can book additional cruises using the 20% discount (i think). right now i am getting conflicting information. I also want to transfer the bookings to costco so i want to know what i am doing in case they do not. I could use some help please from all the experts. Thanks.

As far as I know you can only book Gold level and above on the (one day) early booking day.

But a husband and wife that are both Gold should be able to book a stateroom for you and another for someone else. You just might have to split up the reservation so that husband is listed on one and wife on the other (moving someone from the other group so that the number in each stateroom works out the way you want). Disney doesn't care what you you actually sleep in. Each person would need to go the the muster station for the stateroom they are officially assigned to.

So would you be able to move people around in the reservation after or would you have to keep the original adult in the original room? we have moved the kids around in the rooms before but never moved the adults.

If you're talking about actually moving the names around on the reservation, at least one name on the original reservation must remain, in order for the OBB perks to apply. Also, if all the names are changed on the reservation, it's considered a cancellation and rebooking (at the prevailing rates). If you're talking about just sleeping in a different room than the one that has your name on the reservation, yes, you can do that.
