My son should exceed the 40 inch height requirement by our next visit for these two rides. He already is a fan of roller coasters and water parks so I think he would enjoy riding both of these rides. My question is about the seating for the two rides.
Based on my memory, Splash Mountain has riders sit one behind another in the same car. If this is true I could put my arms around him during the drop. I wonder if this memory is accurate.
For the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, I can’t recall how the seating for this coaster is. I know the coaster doesn’t have any loops however I believe it has some fast turns. Is it possible for me to help brace his body so his head doesn’t get bounced off the sides (padded I’m sure) by sitting behind him or do the riders sit side by side in the car.
Thanks for the help.

Sit next to each other.
