Questions about Beach Club

Keep in mind, I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge & AKL.
OK Here we go:
1) Do they have re-fillable Mugs for Coffee / Soda?
2) If yes, where can you re-fill them (Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches & Cream)?
3) Is there a "Cafeteria Type" eatery where you can grab a quick breakfast/Lunch and go out to the pool with it or take it on the bus/boat?
4) Can you walk to MGM Studios or do you have to take a boat/bus?
5) Can you see Epcot Illuminations from the boardwalk area? How about Fantasmic?
6) Are there rooms which are "Far away" from the lobby? (In AKL it seems that there are rooms almost 1/4 mile away!)
7) How long is the bus ride to Magic Kingdom (Traveling with 8 & 5 year old)?

I'll try to answer the questions for you
1) Yes
2) You answered that yourself - on a morning you can also fill them up from a little breakfast bakery type thing in the lobby at the side of the staircase.
3) You can get pasteries from the breakfast bakery bar by the lobby. Not sure about lunch - we stayed in the BCV so had a kitchen and sorted out lunch there the few days we were even at the resort at lunch time! Beaches and Cream do take out icecreams, burgers etc all day though.
4) Yes you can walk, there is a path that goes over the bridge by the dolphin, and then down the side of the Boardwalk. It took us about 10 minutes (we actually found it was quicker than taking the boat.)
5) Illuminations - yes you can see a lot of the fireworks. Fantasmic - not really.
6) We stayed in the Beach Club Villas (at the far end) which is probably the longest distance from the lobby. Still it only took us about 3/4 minutes to walk there.
7) About 15/20 minutes I think (although I am not 100% sure.)

Although I've never stayed there, I'm going in December, so I've had lots of the same questions myself. Here's what I've found:

1) Do they have re-fillable Mugs for Coffee / Soda?
Yes.

2) If yes, where can you re-fill them (Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches & Cream)?
Beaches & Cream for sure, but you may have a bit of a wait, since you have to stand in carry-out line. I'm not sure about the other.

3) Is there a "Cafeteria Type" eatery where you can grab a quick breakfast/Lunch and go out to the pool with it or take it on the bus/boat?

I don't think so. Beaches & Cream has a carry-out, though.

4) Can you walk to MGM Studios or do you have to take a boat/bus?

The walk would take about 15-20 minutes, or you can catch a boat.


I'm not sure about the others. Anyone? Anyone?

I have stayed there many times:

1) Yes
2) Yes, the exact places you mentioned plus you can take them to a meal with you at Yacht Club Galley and they will refill them during your meal for free.
3)There is a little place to the left of the check in desk that sells pastry type stuff for breakfast, for lunch there is a grill type quick service place right by the pool called Hurricane Hannahs.
4) Yes, you can walk it is actually a bit quicker than the boat, it takes about 15-20 minutes. I wouldn't do it on a real hot day, but other than that it is a nice walk. If your really tired and it is hot, just take the boat.
5) You can see the higher fireworks from Epcot from the beach at The Beach Club or from the bridge that goes over to the boardwalk. You can see very few of the higher works from Fantasmic from the beach at Beach Club. This one was actually a surprise fro me. I was sitting on the beach at Beach Club relaxing one night and I saw the fireworks just behind the boardwalk.
6)There are a few rooms that are down at the farthest end of the resort that are a good walk. I don't think it is as bad as AKL but if you get one of the rooms in that last hallway it is a good hall, good news is you would be really close to Epcot and there is another elevator down at that end.
7)Bus ride is around 20 minutes with the stop at Boardwalk. But, you can sometimes wait around 20 minutes for a bus to come, so give yourself some time.
