I have an upcoming trip and we are thinking we may try the childrens clubs for the first time.

Our trip is soon-late August Early Sept.

Which hotels offer the clubs? Which one has the buffet? Is it mostly younger kids on the 4-12 scale? What would a preteen do?

I have a 10 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. They are both high energy but obedient. Which one would you suggest?

I understand its $10 per hour per kid, so I am looking at $20 per hour, right?

Thanks!

I can't answer for all the clubs, but on every single trip we use the children's club at the Beach Club. Most of the larger hotels offer a club for kids. As far as I know, I don't think there is a buffet in any of them, but again, my knowledge is limited to the Beach Club. My DS7 loves this club so much that he begs to go to "his club" on each trip. It gives us a chance to get out as adults, and we always have fun because we are never worried about the care he is receiving. They give you a beeper in case they need you and off you go. There are video games, a new craft each time he goes, and so many things I can't list them all. If you have any question, stop by one of them before you enroll them. I believe the Beach Club one opens at 4 and they let you in to check it out. The two women at BC are Tessie and Christine. They have been there since we started leaving our son at age 4. We usually go the the Yachtsman Steakhouse - and its cheaper to leave him than to have him come with us. For $10 an hour he gets to play and eat. PM me if you have any more questions.

The Neverland Club at the Poly had a buffet dinner included in the price. I don't know if they still do, it has been about 4 years since we used them. It is for up to age 12. I know when mine went they were 12 & 8. The 12 year old was the oldest there, she was turning 13 a week later. She enjoyed it though. We didn't use them as a sitter, my DD's just wanted to try it (eat out without us :rotfl: ) since they were in there during the day to look at it. I had thoughtt that there was a discount for the 2nd sibling, I really can't remember. There isn't anything for a "tween" to do other than be with you or stay in by themselves (and I don't advise being alone). If they were around 13 & had a friend or sibling the same age range, I would say they could get dropped off at DQ while you were out, but I wouldn't leave them there for more than say 1 1/2-2 hours.
