Questions about AKV 2 bdrm value villas

What is the difference (besides the vastly lower point requirement) between the value view and other view rooms at AKV? Specifically the 2 bedroom villas?

Researching this board led me to a map on another forum, and I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it showed only 5 2 bedroom values, all on the 6th floor of Jambo house. From what I can tell, 2 of them would have a pool view, 2 would have a Savanna view, and 1 would have a parking lot view. Does this sound right? Other than the one that looks like if faces parking, the others look like they'd have a nice view - so I'm guessing there is something besides the view that has caused them to be designated as value studios?

It sounds as though the value rooms are near impossible to get at 7 months, but what if AKV is your home resort - is it really tough to get even at 11 months? Do you have to get on the phone at 6 am exactly 11 months out and still cross your fingers and hold your breath?

We are in the research process right now, and I'm really starting to lean towards purchasing AKV - just want to learn all I can!

"value" has nothing at all to do with the view. "value" refers to the size. value villas are 3 feet shorter than other villas (and have a lower occupancy allowed as they cannot fit the sleeper chair like the other 2BRs.)

6th floor = club level villas.

there are up to 10 value 2BR villas - all on the 5th floor of jambo house. all are lockoffs (1BR + studio), so if someone calls and books 2 value 1BR villas, then that would leave 8 value 2BR villas.

for owners booking at the 11 month window, you'd usually have no trouble from what i understand.

Out of curiosity, I checked the member website yesterday for our spring break trip next year. We are well inside the 11-month window and I was looking at the week of Easter (March 30-April 5). I was shocked to see that the value 1BR was available for the entire 6 nights! The value studio had 2 nights available and the value 2BR had one night available. I'm sure they will all be snagged up at 7 months.

We are owners at AKV and called yesterday to book a 2BR value for next summer. Today was the first day of our 11 month window. We didn't call until 4:30, and according to the MS rep we got the last 2BR available. When we checked the website later the 2BR was still available for the last 6 days, but the first day had no availability anymore. Guess it all depends on when you want to go and what exactly you need! Good luck!
