Questions about a Nov/Dec 2017 Trip

I've been going to Disneyland for 35-ish years now, but I stopped following this board and news threads, so now I feel lost. I'm sorry in advance if these are questions you guys are sick of answering. I did try to search, but didn't find what I was looking for.

Is there a premium, pay-for-view package for fireworks? I could only find info about WDW, so I'm thinking no, but I'm hopeful.

Since the Main Street Electrical Parade is leaving, are there any rumors that Paint the Night parade will return? I am planning to go during the first weekend of December and really wanted my children to see their first nighttime parade.

I was last at Disneyland just before Thanksgiving. We went to the Minnie and Friends character breakfast at Plaza in. I was shocked at how many characters came around. It was almost nonstop! Is this typical? I will have to find the pictures, but I believe there were at least 8 different characters, possibly more.

Edit: I am really disappointed that Disney Junior Live will be going away. Any rumors of a Disney Junior meet and greet? With a 2 and a 3-year old, those characters are a big part of what we were looking for.

Not really. DLR just announced a Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge experience where "you can catch a glimpse of it right from your seat", but from that wording it doesn't sound like it's going to be an ideal view.

I haven't heard anything to indicate for sure whether PtN will be returning or not after MSEP finishes its run (currently slated to end in August). By the time December rolls around, they should (hopefully) be presenting the Christmas Parade, which they have used as both the daytime and nighttime parade in the past. There is also the chance that MSEP will be further extended (although, I suppose that depends on demand and what else they have planned).

They've announced that Disney Junior Live (which wasn't a meet and greet) will be replaced by Disney Junior Dance Party. Characters change, so it's hard to know who will be doing meet and greets when you're there. Right now (as in today), I only see Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins listed as greeting guests.

The description makes fireworks a secondary feature of the "lounge".

It would be difficult for Disney to have "Fireworks Dessert Party" (similar to WOC) with excellent views, since fireworks are cancelled quite often.
