Questions about a 4 night cruise

So I've only bee on a couple of 3 night cruises and have just booked a 4 night Halloween on the high seas cruise on the Dream. It just occurred to me that this means we'll be dining in one of the mdrs more than once. So can we request which mdr we would like to go to twice, or is everyone assigned the same ones? Also since there are only 3 main shows will they have any special entertainment for the additional night? Thanks

Typically the rotation for a 4 night cruise is 1223. That is, whatever dining room each person is in on night 2, it's the same one for night 3. Nights 1, 2, & 4 are typically the rotation menus in each dining room. And night 3 it's the Pirate menu in all dining rooms.

That makes the rotations be:
ERRA
RAAE
AEER

You certainly may call DCL and request a rotation that puts you in (whatever) dining room twice. But, be aware, it's only a request.

The "additional" night is Pirate night. There's a pirate show/party & fireworks that evening. And, usually either an individual entertainer or a movie in the Walt Disney Theater that night.

Thank you! I do recall now talk of the pirate night menu, I know I've also read a lot of people don't care for it, but I am excited to try something new

Ok so in the MDR, you will eat somewhere more than once. I have been on 3 4 night cruises. Each time on the dream, we've had Animators twice on the first one, Royal Palace, on the second one(my preference), and on the most recent, Enchanted Garden twice. Yes you can request, I try to convince my parents to do Royal Palace twice on a 4 night. Doesn't work often, I'm a teen so I don't get to make the calls. The rest of the family loves Animators. For the shows, yes there will be something extra, often a magician. On our most recent it was Mike Super. I will give you some links to show you his shows on Americas Got Talent. Will you have Mike? Probabaly not. Are the other shows as good? Yes. IMO are the best shows the whole trip. Have Fun!

And something else, I would request ERRA, my personnel fav :)

So just out of curiousity, why do you prefer royal palace twice? I have only been on Dream once, I really didn't have a standout favorite, if I really had to choose I'd probably go with animators because of the black truffle pasta

I'd prefer Royal because it's the prettiest, I love the Cinderella coach bread basket and it's nice to be surrounded by princess-y things (can't speak for chaseg03). I don't take into consideration the menus for the second night since they rotate. I would love if I could have the onion soup every time I ate in RP...and eat in RP every night...that would be awesome :)

Regardless of which dining room you are in if the French onion soup is on a menu that night they will get it for you. On our last Fantasy cruise my son told the server how much he loved the baked potato soup in AP and without asking was given 2 bowls every night of the cruise. The same cruise our entire table of 13 was given the cookies and cream Sunday everybody night again without asking lol. And I agree I LOVE the French onion soup!

I love the menu and atmosphere. Escargot, shrimp, lobster, pasta, and temptations for desert. It has a great feel, so luxurious.

But it doesn't really matter which one you have twice as the menu is the SAME at all of them for pirate night. You don't have the other menus on that night, so it's just the ambiance of the restaurant you experience twice, not the food.

They don't have that on the menu for the second time - it will be the pirate menu for all MDRs. If they did, I'd certainly have it twice.

I don't know why so many people don't like the menu - I like it fine. You can probably find it online somewhere and decide for yourself. I was also reminded on this last cruise that there's always chicken soup from the children's menu (with Mickey pasta heads!) and caesar salad is always available. Personally, I can always find something to eat even if some menus I prefer over others. Maybe I just like to eat. Especially if I don't have to cook or clean up. You can always check out the menus on the app for all nights once you're on board and just have a snack from one of the quick service places before or after if you don't think you'll like the menu. Menus are also posted outside the restaurant for that day but the app gives you for the whole cruise.
