Is $1334 a good price for 6 nights at Hojo and a 5 day park hoper ticket for 2006? I got this price off of the DL website and was wondering if you guys thought I could get a better deal if I worked with a TA who specializes in DL travel.

Thanks

It depends how many are in your group. You can sometimes do better working thru an agent, and sometimes better buying the tickets and room separately.

Depends on 2 things:
Is this price just for one person?
What month is this for?

For example, I got the HoJo in December last year for 5 nights for about $US400 and on the Disneyland website I can get a 5 day hopper for $169, so, for one person, in December I could do what you are doing for $649 and for 2 people $729 etc.

But if your price is for 4 people in July that might look like a good deal. More information please!

However - I found the cheapest way to do the holiday was:
- Book direct with HoJo, using the Mousesavers discount
- Buy the tickets direct from Disnyland through their website.

But I know Americans can sometimes get cheaper tickets through organisations like AA. However, Packages booked entirely through Disneyland do not appear, to me, to be a good bargain.

It is for 4 people (2 adults, 1 8yr old and 1 4yr old) for Oct 28, 2006 - November 3rd, 2006. No airfare.

Staying at HoJo.

I can't get priced for HoJo for that date in 2006 as it is too far in the future.

Sorry I wasn't more specific in my previous post. I had tried to post about 15 times (no kidding :guilty: ) and didn't want to type a bunch and have it lost again.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Ok - well that's now starting to look a bit more attractive, but I still think you can do better by either doing it yourself, or going to a Disney specialist.

At current prices (which will rise) 5 days hoppers for 2 adults and 2 kids will cost you $616 and for those dates this year, Hojo will give you a standard room for $554 (with the mousesavers discount) - total cost $1170.

So, booking these separate, you can save $164 THIS YEAR on the Disney quote - but will prices rise that much next year? I doubt it.

When comparing, make sure you figure in sales tax. It will be 10% or so on top of your hotel room.
