Is it me, or does it seem like the new Diagon Alley, doesn't seem to have the draw, that the original over at IOA has? Just going by the wait times, the train seems to have settled down to an average of about an hour, with Gringotts coming in around 2 hours. It just seems that the other area, was over 3 hours and better for several months.

Apparently attendance has been awesome. It is just that the area is so much larger than the original. Morning and afternoon wait times at Gringotts are still usually around 4 hours. If you monitor it on twitter, people are still reporting very long wait times.

At 12:30 today ... Jena Queen ‏@JenaQueen 33m I waited 3 and half hours to ride Harry Potter And The Escape From Gringotts and it was worth every minute.

Waited 4hrs in line to ride escape from gringotts

Could the reduced wait times maybe have something to do with schools in the South being back in session? I know that in Mississippi, the schools started back up this week, so maybe that has something to do with it. :confused3

I feel like part of this is also the fact that the films and books have been released. Sure, Rowling is working on new material for the universe, but the HP series has finished. Not saying Potter still isn't relevant, but I just think the waits were heavily inflated for IoA when books and films were being released yearly.

I never really paid too much attention to the times, since I was trying to avoid the area due to the crowds, but for some reason I keep thinking that the wait times never really dropped below 4 hours or so for at least 2 months in HM.

I visited Hogsmeade for the first time in late August 2010 and remember Forbidden Journey being a 15 minute wait in the evening. August is when crowds die down anyway.

The Hogwarts Express just celebrated having a million riders a few days ago.. pretty good for only having been open a month!
