My DS and future DDiL will be getting married next year at home but want to do a small ceremony in WDW when we go back in November 2013. I know there are the two small packages either Escape or Memories to choose from. MY DDiL to be wants to wear a dress in the MK when she is walking around. I know she can't wear her wedding dress but are there limits on what type of other dress she wears? She is looking at short white dresses that can be worn for weddings. Would she be allowed in the park with that type of dress on? My thought was maybe a short white sundress instead.

Also are they really strict about the people count for the two packages. We could end up with 8 people and was wondering if they would let that slide or if we would have to use the larger package.

this passporter guide is excellent and will really spell out all the details - great investment!

Thank you for the info. I am sure I will be back with lots more questions!:)

Yes, you can wear a nice white "non-wedding" dress to the parks...even with your bride/groom ears :goodvibes. They have a dress code (as to common street clothes (no offensive language shirts), bathing suits, etc) and can't wear an obvious "wedding dress" (unless it's during MNSSHP!!)

I, personally, got married in a linen white eyelet sun dress....without the bouquet and special "Bridal" touches, you'd never had known it was a wedding dress.

Well we are getting married on Halloween and we are deffo not wear traditional wedding gear - so if we say it is our halloween costumes - we should in theory be allowed into the parks and will get pictures in front of the castle (just doing our own pictures)

That's kind of what she is thinking of. A simple white, lace strapless sundress with a black ribbon around the waist. We figured that wouldn't look to wedding-ish.

Actually there is one person I know of on the DISboards that did that exact thing..."dressed" as a Bride and Groom in traditional garb (but I don't think they got married on Halloween). It was a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party night, and you are allowed to dress any way you want, as long it's not offensive or scary.

I'm not advocating it, or promoting it, just a fact.

In short, the answer is yes. However, if you're dressing in what would be considered "a costume", it would have to be A MNSSHP night (the 31st is a MNSSHP night, but it's a hard-ticket night and Halloween commonly sells out, so get tickets early). These are also the only nights an adult is allowed to dress as Disney Characters in the MK too.
